    The original post wasn't specifically referring to lobbying and I agree that it is a big problem on both sides of the aisle and why I think serious campaign finance reform is probably the most important political reform for this country. But it's important that when you're making the point that both parties are f'ed up you also point out that one of the parties is a whole lot more f'ed up (if that's the case.).

    Its not surprising that a republican would be contemptuous of his religious base. A good number of neocons are not religious. They use religion as a tool to manipulate the masses.

    If the media was dominated by liberals they would jump all over this. This is the only thing that will take the rebublicans out of power, when the christian right figures out the rebublicans don't care about their agenda.
