The football/soccer, some events start earlier than the ceremony which will take place couple days later. I guess that is common procedure.
yea, certain sports starts way earlier and often in different cities. i think the first even of this olympic games was held in fukushima.
Tonight Mexico plays France in soccer. 2 of the 3 over the age limit players for France play at Tigres in Mexico This dude Andre-Pierre Gignac is an absolute legend tho. You would think that a euro player coming to mexico who had already played a wc with france and had been a top player in france would come with an ego but that was never a thing with him. He embraced the country and the people from day one. This dude mexican as hell now
No fans is going to suck -- even these early women's soccer games are brutal with completely empty stands.
I really enjoy watching different/ weird sports I'd normally never watch, but this no fan thing (absolute silence) is killing the vibe.
For those that like the other random Olympic sports also, the pound for pound Judo champ and his weight class matchups preview.
but why would they use that song after the celebs made a fool of themselves using that same song during the pandemic? lol Edit: apparently that song is the unofficial Olympic anthem.. didn't know that..
