There isn't. The "Miss Manners" page that Fatty linked to says nothing about over or under.

    Fatty's wrong.

No I'm not. This has always been the way to properly place TP.

OVER!! If my husband, or anyone in my house for that matter, puts it under I have to change it.

I totally do this too! DT's roommate always puts it under, but the rest of us that use that bathroom prefer it over, so we all end up changing it.

My house cleaner ALWAYS puts it under. I then have to immediately turn it around next time I'm in the can. I feel stupid having the conversation with her so I just turn it around myself.

Afterall, I can multi-task. Poop and flip at the same time!

Ok everyone has a take on OVER/UNDER, but only a few people have said WHY and that was because little kids will see how fast the roll will spin and Isabel doesnt like to touch the walls to get paper.. WHY does it matter if it is over or under?? I cant think of a major logical explanation to make it this huge of a deal..

Do you people do this with paper towels too??

Yup. I've seen this discussion on at least to other boards and that's been the consensus. Men go over while women go under...

I'm an under kinda guy, but my g/f hates it...We went to Vegas and she said, look, the hotels do over, you need to do it...I think it started mostly so the kids wouldn't waste it and it kinda stuck...

A square? A single square? You must eat a lot of fiber to have that consistency. Good for you. :D
