I agree, assuming the allegations are true. People sometimes greatly embellish what actually happened to make a point. Once the facts are known, if the facts are as reported, he deserves whatever he gets.

As the plane descends for landing, and the pressure within the cabin changes, the baby may have ears that need popping. Not to mention the loud noises of flaps adjusting, increased wind, etc. But of course, being a baby, they just know their ears hurt and hear scary noises, so they cry. She could be Mother of the Year and still not prevent it. Sometimes, babies cry for a reason. This is one of those times. The most amazing thing is the plane was LANDING. You only had to put up with it for a few more minutes. Dude was trying to make a statement, I guess. And the statement he made is, "I'm an a$$#0le."
