You can put asterisk on 95 champions.

You can't forget rockets barely beat magic in overtime by two points with Kenny Smith making a record seven three's. Put the asterisk to remember the record number of three's Kenny Smith made in Orlando!

Don't forget Cassell 31 points in game 2, so put an asterisk to remember!

Don't forget horry dropped 25 points in game 3, put asterisk!

You forgot one. But I won't let Houston forget

Winners of the AHL '03 Calder Cup

19 stalwart seasons from 1994-2013, only 3 playoff misses with a couple of championships. Miss you, guys. Most fun sport to watch in person bar none.

This is completely true. As much as I love the Rockets, my dad is on a whole different level of crazy—having followed Hakeem/Akeem since he was a rookie and basically never missing a game on TV/league pass even now. Then again if it wasn’t for him watching Rockets games with me in the 90s I don’t think I would’ve become such a Rockets homer either (especially because all the other kids around me were Knicks fans).

I love the fact that the Rockets are so beloved internationally, and that they have a history of trailblazing with international superstars. However, that doesn’t mean that our team needs to pander to foreign markets. We gave their stars a chance to be great, and in turn they make us lots money, both domestically and abroad. But the focus always should be Houston...it’s in the name, after all. Now if the Rockets establish a minor league team in Beijing on the other hand, that branch can pander all they like:p

Do the pistons and Celtics have to make videos to remind fans that Jordan couldn’t beat them ?

the nba made Jordan look like he never lost a playoff series
    That’s wrong

Jordan was way more tight with the referees than olujuwon.

Olujuwon just took care of business and knew to avoid controversy to avoid foul trouble with the 3000+ blocked shots that he got!

Refs were scared of Jordan and remember when JVG told the media that he told the players don't let MJ dupe you into his mind games and it was a soap opera.

"It was really Michael Jordan leaving to go play baseball that allowed the Rockets to win those two championships. Three for Jordan and the Bulls, go play baseball, Rockets win two, three more for Jordan and the Bulls."

Hey, go **** yourself Trey Wingo!

In 50 years, this narrative will swing in our favor. The curious will only see that Jordan's run was split in half by an Olajuwon guy that took him down. And that will be that. When that happens, Rocket nation will be glad our titles split the Jordan era. I don't mind it because the truth will eventually make us look even better historically.

I think it is pretty hard to become a die hard when none of your friends and family members are either non NBA fans or non Rockets fans or both.
