In the first two games they were wearing white jerseys and the last two games they were wearing blue jerseys.
These young Rockets are a classic case of Sports Pyschology 101. They went into this series believing that they could not beat the Thunder. This feeling was further magnified by the game 1 thrashing. While subconsciously conceding defeat in the series, they are also young and talented and don't want to be embarassed either, thus the strong effort and play when they are losing. On the other hand, when they do start playing well and winning and it looks like they are going to blow OKC out of the gym, they backtrack to their low bar expectations of being content just to be in the playoffs and compete with OKC. In three straight games now, they have been in position to take over and dominate but then doubt and lack of of confidence sets in and they psychologically fall apart. Kind of like a big brother - little brother thing. Little brother, even though more talented, has a hard time beating big brother and only does so once he gains the confidence to stop deferring to and respecting the will of big brother. You can see some of this with Harden right now since he was "little brother" to Durant and Westbrook the past couple of years. NEWS FLASH TO THE ROCKETS AND HARDEN - Without Westbrook, you are better than this Thunder team. There is no reason why you shouldn't win this series and be the first team to overcome a 3-0 deficit. We believe in you, believe in yourselves!!!!
It is exciting to have a team that will be better next year for certain, we have pulled OKC one of the best team in the league into 3 close games in the playoff, and alot cap space for the summer agency, GOOOOO ROCKETS!!!!
The rockets are playoff virgins !!! they have been playing better every game !! if we win next game i say we take game 6 ! anything can happen.. if durant broke his wrist today we would win rest of the series
