i expected to play young guys and let alperen sengun play hed be scoring 30 and lead us to playoffs or even hc... did you really expected miami to get twice near /to finals with the shitty talent they had? if they went all in we could even have won it all
Sengun is developing fine, with time he will get more mins and show what he can really do. I do think Sengun should be playing an additional 4 more minutes. I don't see how they win it all this year or last.... Even with Sengun playing more I don't think they get over WCF....
But why you act like growth of the 18yo is only because of the coaching staff? He didnt progress in coachable things like playing the right way. His defense is same. Shot has same flaws. Yes I watched Green the first season. When he was hot he was scoring 30 if not he was turnover machine with 1/11 shooting splits. This season he has better passing and finishing, but imho its just exprience and body maturity. Sengun is underdeveloped. And for the KPJ - whole franchise did everything they could to make him look like superstar. The least he could do is look better than in the first season. And i think he looked better last year. At the same time JC, TyTy, Garuba are just buried. Jabari is looking a lot less than he should too.
you have shamed me into admitting that if Sengun averages four more additional minutes per game for the rest of the season then the O'Brien trophy is ours
Over half of all the threads posted seem to make this assumption. The trade for Harden are ones that really get me.
I just thank God I'm not a Spurs fan where I actually have a reason within the last 20 years to have winning expectations. They must be losing it over there watching that disaster of a season.
This is the beginning of being in a 10 year abyss if they're not careful.. They better get Wem or Scoot because the future aint bright without them..
i really like JC and thought he was one of our best prospects coming out of last year. I think it’s really incredible how the coaching staff thinks it’s a good idea to basically waste a year of development of a first round pick. I get that the summer league performance was selfish, but come on. on the flip side, JC can’t shoot, and while it’s hard to know if that’s improved because they don’t play him, I suspect that’s still an issue. He also doesn’t seem to have good court vision or awareness. Still his defense alone should have gotten him more minutes. I would be fine with trading him though…before we screw the kid up more. JC is an example of this regime’s failing approach; another asset wasted.
I think people are assuming that it's the lack of winning that is concerning. That's not the issue right now.
