Most lawyers are @$$holes. There are many pitfalls to be found everywhere, and there are lots of negatives that you don't find about until you're there and it's too late to get out. Many of those that do well have several generations of lawyers already in their family. I myself, I'm glad I went to school. I'm even more glad that I only have a year left. But I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless they know exactly what they're in for, and they're ambitious enough to give up ten years to fifteen years of their life to get through school and establish a career. In other words, if you're ambitious enough to go to law school, there should be nothing I can say that can talk you out of it. Without that kind of a commitment, you are in for a rude surprise. I've met many more people that regret their decision to go to law school than those that are happy. Without a long-term plan and a strong work ethic, going to law school is a 100K dollar trap that can ruin your life.
