I like him for the same reason I like catwalking at the intersection when I cross a street, but a mean driver once yelled at me:" Just walk and get to the other side of the street! You stinking male model." Sigh...people can't appreciate me entertaining them with my catwalking.
the most consistent part of Steve's game is complete lack of defense as for what i like, i love the explosiveness and scoring ability on offense
1) Because he's a Rocket. 2) Because he loves B-ball. 3) I always liked him because of his potential to be a HOFer but reality is starting to set in.
you dont have to post anymore for us to figure out that your just a biased steve hater, infact i think your purpose on this board has finished, time to put you on the ignore list.
He remind me of Marbury, all bronze and rah hah hah. Charge into the heart of defense, play reckless, sometimes electrifying the crowd, other times abyssmal. You get what you wished for; great stats, awesome highlight plays, and perenial loser. At least he's fun to watch, remember, in order to have winners, you need losers. It's no shame to be a loser like Malone, Payton, Stockton, Kemp, Nique. Stevie's name will be there soon.
Everytime i watch the games i always notice him in his bad shot selection, bad passing skills, and turnovers. He has in some games done pretty good but then in the next game he comes back to his old self. As for yao i feel he is not confident and motivated right now; i will also admit he does need to toughen up. I think with time yao will imporve with time. As for why i say to trade steve its been about 5 years and this guy has not imporved in the areas he needs to. We could transfer him to the 2 but CAT is not playing that bad this year and steves defense aint to great.
People on this board like him because he IS A ROCKETS! Most causal fans like him because he is an entertainer, e.g., fancy dribbling, high-flying dunks. Just check the all-star game popular votes. He will never get selected by the coach, but has been voted in by the casual fans in the past two years, and counting. --daoshi
