I feel sorry for whoever Buffalo's rotating QB is. If Garcia, McNabb, and Romo weren't good enough for TO, it's going to be ugly for whoever it is.
That was pretty damn quick. The Bills haven't been relevant for quite some time though, I can see why they'd gamble with fire.
Wow, this is a shocker. My friends are all Bills' fans. They'll be ecstatic. If, and this is a big IF TO can keep it cool for a season, I think the Bills could surprise some people. Trent Edwards is quietly emerging as a good quarterback. I've been saying for a while that the Bills need an Andre Johnson-type big body receiver, and TO may be exactly what they need. Lee Evans is pretty quick and is a home run threat (JP Losman could never get him the ball deep). The Bills just need one or two more decent offensive lineman, and a good TE. I could see them now possibly trading down and picking up Pettigrew at the low end of the first round. (Although they have a history of reaching big time recently, so you never know) This could end up going in the "BBS Lows" thread (as have a few other predictions I've made...some have been pretty good, though), but IF TO keeps it cool, I think the Bills could win 9 to 10 games this year, potentially ending their playoff drought. I can't see TO staying happy, though...
Also, this has me looking forward to seeing the Texans come to Buffalo this year, FWIW. I'm ready to see a TO meltdown....
My friend called me up and asked me to guess which AFC East team TO just signed with. My last guess was Buffalo.
Funny how quickly that happened. I bet a ton of sports journos questioned Drew Rosenhaus when he said Eldorado would sign with a team by next week. A lot of haters on ESPN and other outlets thought no team would touch him and yet a fairly decent Bills team picks him up. I hope he does well(as he usually does in the 1st season w/ a new team) and gets the Bills to the playoffs.
I do, too. Edwards has talent and is an up and coming qb. I hope he's able to maintain his composure when dips*** Owens screams at him on the sideline like a 4-year old girl.
It had to be the (guaranteed) money. I assume no other team came close to guaranteeing $4 million. For what other reason would TO sign with the Bills?
What is $4 million in comparison with the overall NFL team salaries? This might be a dumb question, but $4 million isn't that much in the grand scheme of things is it for an NFL owner?
