I remember our last draft night when we traded Gay for Battier and how the crowd was booing the Rockets for such a decision. Calvin came down and calm the crowd down. This proves that the Rockets still trust him (they send him down there), and second that he has an incredible impact on his audience. when he speaks Basketball, us fans tend to listen to him. He has that IT in him and therefore Rockets Organization should bring him back. On the other hand, Rockets will just not bring him back because if they do than people will prefer to watch the game on television.
what always bugged me about this whole situation was that the rox claimed as long as he was found innocent that they would stand by him which they did not....i almost wish calvin would tell them to go screw themselfs if they asked him back.....but alas i am selfish and want him back for two reasons....1. him and bill worked so well together bill is dull w/o him when they were together they were funny and knowledgeable...2. if i have listen to one more broadcast with either clyde or bullard i am gonna shoot myself!
Drexler is much better now BUT I can't stand listening to Mario Elie, he sucks big time, terribly monotonous. Mario go back to coaching pls.

I personally think it was a horrible move on the part of the Rockets. It made them look like they thought he was guilty of the previous charges against him. It made them look like they were just trying to find a way to ditch him. Like Calvin as a commentator or not, the team made a bad call on this one.
Petition is not going to help...let's face it, Les never really liked Murphy, and that's the bottom line. Just like he didn't like Steve Patterson and got rid of him. Just because you are a local legend doesn't mean you automatically get a token job in the Rockets organization.

I actually watched games where we were behind 30 points because I enjoyed Calvin and Bill. Even my GF enjoyed watching them (and she hates basketball). Front office is completely deaf.

Rowdies + Clutchfan chants at the game: we want calvin - may be bizarre to ask for a new tv announcer if you're at the game? don't question it, just get Bill to notice it. Gotta get Clyde & Bullard to buy in - its not personal, move on and relinquish the position to the local legend 3. Article in the chronicle brings it into public view 4. Players can help push the cause: in memory of CM23 arm bands 5. Local/national media blurb or story to get it rolling: one of'ems gotta be reading this right now 6. ZZ Top & Beyonce cut a duet: Pocket Rocket 7. Real bumper stickers: bring back calvin becomes a phenomena 8. Rockets front office is pressured by local business, political, and community leaders to BRING BACK CALVIN 9. Rockets win uncountable championships because of CM's presence on the sideline 10. Make a movie on how a website and fans willed their city to the top - Death to Smoochy 2: This time Robin Williams plays a likable announcer instead of fake barney 11. Clutch gets 10% of the loot and solidifies clutchfans as the premier fan website in the world. Alright how many of these can we check off?

Ditto. I wouldn't mind if Calvin replaced Drex though. Either that or just give Bullard the job full time, the org has to know that Drexler stinks, right?
