you F t. i like KG,kobe. But i have to watch Rox game ,if i want to watch nba. Yao raped most of us to be roxfan.
Well... I love Rox cuz of Yao.. and now Yao injuried, but it is still a team which i did pay much attention to. In addition, it becomes a good team, so i still love it. Although i am not as passionate as before.
i watched nearly EVERY games Yao played in rox. i have to admit that i am a Y O F,but i don't think this is a problem.after all,i have been a rox fan already after watched so many rox games.i love rox! even if yao joined other team,i will be a rox fan.but not R O F!
I watched part of last night's game, only with the intention to see if Yao's absence weakened the team's prowess. I m logging on to this forum, only with the intention to check how Rox fans in US take Yao's injury. Like it or not, I sort of hoped that the Rox go down a little bit after Yao's injury, a scenario that would hightlight the indispensible status of Yao. Nevertheless, it is a great pleasure to see that T-mac is carrying the team forward, with all other role players contributing. Without Yao, the Rox becomes a different team, but not necessarily a worse team. But if the Rox wins the NBA champion this season, or at least qualify for the second round, it would be awkward for Yao to come back next season finding that the team is actually better off without him.
me toooooooooo watch rocket games' TV live which is a part of daily life, whether Yao get good performance or bad performance, whether Yao play or injury, just for win! Go Rockets!
im just a Yao's fan , and pls translate into chinese first if u want to post any new thread like this
Yes, I started following the Jazz after Memo joined them, and if he joined this team instead I would be a passionate Rox fan ever since. In fact I sympathized the Rockets when I was not rooting for any particular NBA team and I have some friends here in Turkey that are passionate Rox fans and have multiple TMac-Yao jerseys. Also I have learned about the eventful history between Jazz and this franchise and Flopton/Malone era doesn't interest me very much. However I appreciate the rivalry and it surely makes playing each other more fun. I am a fan of current Jazz, the team I have been watching for 3+ years night in night out. Also I joined this board, because by far the best basketball board in the internet and as an NBA geek I enjoy reading comments by knowledgeable and passionate fans here. Being an NBA fan would be 10x more fun if every single team had a fan base like Houston Rockets and such a prolific fan message board. Back to my point, as many of our Chinese friends emphasized, rooting for an NBA franchise night after night over grueling time zone differences becomes a part of your life. It is a process and you guys from USA can trust as that a person from the other end of the world can be a die hard fan from the other end of the world, even if the starting point of being a fan was being an international player homer. I get sick when some people on this board treat Chinese natives like they can't root beyond a certain player, as if they don't have the capacity for it. You really can't have an heart or emotion, or you are simply gay if you can keep rooting for a single athlete for 3+ years without feeling any sincere love for that particular team and it's other players. For example I get sick to my stomach when media experts say Christina Paul is a better PG than Deron or Boozer can't win a matchup against Duncan in the playoffs.
