What a ridiculous statement. This is wizards and kings level thinking, just giving absurd money just because a guy is your “best player”. (In this case kpj has never even been close to a starter level season let alone star level season)

So potentially making your most talented player the 20th highest paid PG is "ridiculous money"?

You crazy kids aren't even trying to make sense now.

If the team feels like he has moved on from the BS and will in NO WAY have any negative affect at all on the others, then extend him. Something in the 12-15 range for 3 yrs with a PO for the 3rd. That way if he does outplay it he can opt out for more after yr 2. Fair for all parties.

BUT... there has to be some sort of clause that gives the team the option of cutting him if any actions on his part on or off the court are determined to be detrimental to the team in any way.

So everyone who doesn't want to immediately extend Porter for your perceived value is a 'kid'. Thanks, dad.

You also forgot that Kevin will be a restricted free agent when you made your post about "extend him or let him walk", dad.

If he’s our most talented player that means jalen green is a complete miss, and we need to keep tanking (also means jabari is a complete miss as well. Yes, paying a guy who has been as awful as porter thus far and has improved so little max money is utter lunacy

No, I think that people who don't want to extend the most talented player on the team at a reasonable rate (15-18 mill a year) now in the hopes that they'll lose him after he fetches offer sheets for 20+ mil a year next year are being foolish.

Saying that KPJ is not a starting caliber PG is just flat out stupid. There's no way to sugar coat it.

Or... you just don't know what you're talking about.

It seems to me that's by far the most likely scenario

Lol. I hate quitters. I don't support Scottie Pippen either. My join date and post history shows I'm a Houston sports fan. Your track record isn't good here as opposed to mine.

Sure you don't want to be his boyfriend? Not that there's anything wrong with that

I don't see the rush with such a volatile player.

Other thing is RFA rarely get big offer sheets unless they’re max level players, so we don’t even need to worry about him getting an outrageous offer

Brun is a huge overpay. Doesn't mean we should pay for KPJ

I don't think Alpi is eligible for an extension yet.
