Again this is a rocket forum. Some Folks want kpj to b our pg of the future. We all have some sort of interest hoping kpj do well bc that means the Rockets will do well. I get not being happy with the direction we are going but if it pans out, it means more enjoyable games to watch.

I just find it hypocritical that the same folks that btch about harden "ball hogging way" is now cheering for kpj. All dem folks raving about team ball and what not, kpj ain't that.

KPJs value based on his averages is probably hovering around Lonzo Ball's deal. We have no incentive to pay him early unless he accepts a discount. Wait him out.

I think it’s much more likely that he doesn’t. I’m sure that the Rockets are holding steady at an extension around his cap hold number in order to preserve cap space. KPJ is surely asking for more. So they will end up going the RFA route and let the market decide.

honestly, I think we have seen what his floor is. If he never improves any more than what he is now, that $10m is the high end of what he’s worth. He is almost identical to what D’Angelo Russell was at the same point. Russell only improved marginally after getting his big contract and the Wolves appear to have decided not to extend him.

Take the Rockets’ consideration into account. They have to approach with the possibility that this is pretty much as good as he will ever be. If that’s the case, will they be ok with that big salary, or would they have been better off filling his position through free agency or trade. No matter how much you like KPJ, these large contracts being suggested are based purely on potential.

20Ms per year would make some guys here faint! Wait him out as in pay him more later?

Wait him out as in don't negotiate against yourself. What other team would pay him that? Set a price short of the Lonzo deal and just wait.

Do you think his value is at 9-10Ms per season? I always wanted a team friendly 15 per, but even that was viewed as too much.

You're all over the place. Elon? I'm assuming Musk. I hate that guy. I know people. Doesn't really matter.

You're a cheerleader. I'll buy you some new pom poms

I see his value at 16-19. If Gordon, a sixth man, can get 19 then KPJ can realistically make that ask. You also have to figure the Rockets are looking at the other FA at his position along with players in the draft

You're trying way too hard. Let me make it easy. You'll get to talk trash to me if KPJ does what you expect. When he doesn't, I won't care because he'll be another team's problem as always. Interesting @DaDakota has backed out of our bet.

It might be feeding time for fat boy so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt

Why do you have to keep making it personal over and over? Your opinion about KPJ isn't worth throwing human respect out the window.

    4/82. After Jordan Poole… doesn’t seem awful.
