One more season to really get a good look at him as our PG.

You need to dig a little deeper on the statistics .... It's not all that impressive that a guy puts up 15/6/4 when he's the main ball handler playing 32 minutes a night.

When you dig into the advanced stats and points per possession rankings he's pretty bad.

I will concede one point and that's Wood was terrible as a roll man in the pick and roll and that hurts KPJ's numbers and the team really didn't have another lob / roll threat worth a damn. This season he'll have Smith & Eason to run that with, so we'll soon see if it was a KPJ issue or a Wood issue that KPJ is in the bottom 34% in the pick and roll. 66% of the league was more efficient than KPJ in the pick and roll.

Being a bad FT shooter, aint no excuses.
    Turnover rate, no excuses.
Poor 2p% .... is a combination of many factors, mostly negative.

Being in the bottom 18% as an isolation ball handler .... I don't see any excuses. Thats on him. 82% of the league was more efficient in isolation and that's an absolutely abysmal and that guy's been your lead ball handler.

Makes one wonder who the real tank commander is ....

Y’all acting like he can’t get better. Like it’s ridiculous! He’s not even close to being a finished product. He’s flashed elite level play on numerous occasions. He just need to improve in some areas and clean some things up, which is the case with a lot of young players

How are we comparing raw statlines of KPJ, who was given the reigns to be the #1 ballhandler and #1 option with carte blanche to do whatever he wanted, with James Harden coming off the the bench playing next to Westbrook and Durant. Talk about apples and oranges. And we're ignoring James Harden's biggest asset, his biggest outlier stat, which is his outrageously high efficiency, something KPJ will likely never touch in his career.

    The cycle continues.

Absurd statement/claim made by KPJ fans.

    Absurd statement/claim is soundly refuted.

    “But teammates/coach/he can get better”

    Repeat.

People get paid on what teams think they will be - so I believe KPJ would normally be projected as a future all star player - but his tude has held him back.

If he was a regular dude with nothing in his background, I think Stone would be locking him up near Max contract level.

Players with ft% below 70% and below league average ts%, with no improvement in 3 years are generally not projected as future all-stars.

Maybe, but that is the risk you take when you have to back talent....

I actually think Stone has done a great job of the EASY part - drafting - now the hard part comes - whom do you keep to build around?

OKC had that choice and chose Westbrook over Harden and it cost them a championship team.

Morey did too when we got rid of CP3.....

Whom to keep and grow with is the hardest thing the GM has to do, IMHO.

Lots of players get great contracts and suck at FTs.....not saying he shouldn't improve, he 100% should, I think he was over 70% in the last half of last year....so that is just focus.

This is one fact we should all be excited about. Wood was not a good fit for this group. Will be nice to see the evolution going forward.

It's just comedy at this point. I just laugh. DD is wrong about everything so you definitely know it's a positive thing they haven't paid KPJ

Wood was actually a great fit skill wise. Like Dwight in Houston, he chose not to play to his strengths.

KPJ superfans are just trolling at this point

trying to talk numbers when they have no clue what they mean and no clue how to analyze them

posting willful ignorance and rampant disinformation/fake news

Is it comedy hour on the GARM?

It's literally one poster only. And he is actually quite entertaining. I love his enthusiasm lol.

So we have one Sengun superfan.

And two KPJ superfans, maybe three if you count maj21.

90% of this board gets defensive when someone says he’s not gonna be the next great superstar in this league. Even on Twitter and Podcasts. I even heard salman ali say he’s about to average 18 & 10, which is delusional lol
