LOL - that is all you got? You are a sad sad person, spreading hatred and anger on a message board......you are lucky I don't own this site, you and your IP would be long gone for lack of any interesting contributions. You are such a Beta! Let me show you how ignore works.....buh bye! DD
if you already know that scoot will be a total bust, then you already know more then anyone here and should probably be an nba GM, since all the scouts and everyone else is wrong about him
I'm not a big KPJ fan, but his defense and improved shot give me some hope. Though, the C&S % would look a lot nicer at a position that got more C&S attempts. Besides for Bruno, did any Rocket get less C&S attempts on a per minute basis? If someone did, I'd guess it was another PG (Nix or Schroder).
I'm not saying he's going to be a bust....I'm saying the Rockets already have what people are hoping Henderson can develop into in 3 or 4 years. Henderson has basically no outside shot right now, he's fairly undisciplined as a passer, he plays absolutely no defense. He's got the raw physical talent to one day become a very good player....but again, we already have that. Why push the rebuild back several years by swapping one "Scoot" for another...especially when the Henderson version doesn't fit with Green anywhere near as well? If you got that high of a pick, which is unlikely, you look for an impact SF to complete the team.
I'm devastated lol. If you put as much effort into not being obese maybe Healthcare wouldn't be unaffordable for the group you supposedly defend
at the end of the day I haven't heard a legit reason to offer him a big extension right now. KPJ hasn't proven much on the court to show he is more than a "potential" project. If he performs well this season and behaves well I am comfortable giving him more money at the end of the season. If he shows no improvement, no one else would give him anything anyway, so we can just low ball him and he will have no choice but to take it. I don't personally see the rush of getting things done at this moment, unless it's a lowball that he won't accept. It's not really a Jalen Brunson issue, NBA players get paid when they perform on the court, never heard of giving someone 20MM a year based on potential with mediocre performance on the court. The Wolves gave Wiggins a huge contract based on "potential" even though he was very average, look how that turned out.
If we get a pick that high, we draft the best player available. Drafting for fit at this stage is beyond foolish.
So if that' pick is a SG, you go for it and move on from Green? We're at a stage where fit needs to be a consideration when we're not talking about a Lebron caliber player. I know Scoot Henderson is all the rage right now, but unless he develops that outside shot, he's got a lot of Russell Westbrook in him. The athleticism is impressive, but it takes more than just that. You don't want a PG that can't shoot well enough to play off ball to play next to Jalen Green, no matter what you think about KPJ. We'll see what Henderson looks like this year, but he better get that outside shot going or it could put a cap on his potential. Despite what some think, raw athleticism isn't everything....especially when you are 6'2.
No, couldn't be you, or the David Kahn era Minnesota Timberwolves or the Sacramento Kings over the last decade. You guys know that fit is completely irrelevant when you are drafting random players to stay terrible forever.
Brunson has played 100 games more than KPJ and he is a better playmaker and the 3% is about the same, the career efg is only 4% difference when Brunson has played on far better teams and with better coaches. KPJ is a much better defender. It's much easier playing with Luka than with what KPJ has around him and the numbers are not that far off.
There is ZERO guarantee he will be any good in the NBA - he has potential - for sure - but he is also not real tall..... Why we keep pining for MAYBE's when we have guaranteed developers on our team already is beyond me. DD
Their performance was close last year and he did some things better than Brunson. What do you think Brunson does that is so much better?
Brunson only had a 17.1 per on a much better team in his 2nd year he had about the same per. You do know that per is helped greatly by playing on a better team right? Jalen is also 3 years younger than Brunson.
