I think people confuse the meaning of what people are trying to show by saying per 48. People probably wouldn't scoff as much if they listed the stat per minute(which is saying the same thing as per 48), but the amount of rebounds per minute would be some decimal under 1. It's just easier to say a player averages 16 boards per 48 rather than saying a player averages .333333333 rebounds per minute. Dorsey is 16th in the league at rebounds per minute on the floor. Dorsey is 16th in the league at rebounds per 48 minutes. It's saying the same thing and is absolutely relevant.
5 boards in 7 minutes to start this game. How does it not apply? When he gets minutes he get rebounds at a very high rate.
To OP: Next time you want to talk about someone’s production on a per-minute basis, clearly do not use per-48 stat. Because apparently, clutchfans members lack the ability to understand that if someone is one of the best per-48 rebounders, he’s also one of the best per-minute rebounders. Because, apparently, many people here skipped fractions in middle school and somehow believe 48/48 > 1/1 .
You were saying? Are you seriously trying to defend him? Ridiculous. He can't even rebound against an undersized phx frontline
Go by real stats not that PER trash. He is a bad undersized center on this team. Morey went cheap by signing him now its gonna come back to bite him in the ass
Meh. When Dwight comes back Dorsey won't get playing time at all. If $23 million dollars is sitting on the bench, that's not really Morey's fault.
