What has Steve shown you in the past 5 years that can't detach you from his jock? The numerous unforced turnovers? The complete loss of poise in crunchtime again and again? The inability to consistently hit the outside shot? His horrible defense? The fact that every message board outside of ours already knows he's overrated? The recent incident that just adds to his already spoiled image around the league? The fact that he can't consistently pass to a 7'5" center because that's not 'his style'...hell, sportscenter use to regularly poke fun of Steve and his passing incompetentcies with Yao last year. Steve being the worse guard in the league concerning assist to turnover ratio? Or how about getting progressively WORSE from his 2nd year in the league until now? How many times can you say Steve really 'controlled the tempo' of a game? How many sub par and rookie PGs in the league have punk'd Steve game after game? ...oh BTW, he's getting paid THE MAX! Sorry if I can't see your point...I guess I'm just being blind and stupid . I guess since Steve is playing with a big man in paint we should expect his stats to go down ...Damn, I'm glad we didn't get shaq, Steve's stats would probably be 10/2/2 at 30% FGs.
My English teacher tells me to try to avoid writing like you do.your post would be somewhat valid, if you looked at both sides of steve. This post is the denfinition of biasness. I have never saw a more biased post ever. Obviously steve has major impact on this team. I know im making an inference to one game but did you see how lost the rockets are without steve in the suns game. Infact why not look at steve's 3rd year. Can you tell me their record that year without steve.
Steve got the skills, no doubt abou it. what is missing is the right motivation to win... to win the championship, not one game.
So what good points to you see in Steve that make him 'keepable'? I'd love to hear what you think of him, seriously.
