Abortion IS murder. To the liberals who decry genocide and other injustices around the world, why don't you condemn what is happening here at home. The innocent lives murdered each year is horrendous. If you view life is precious in other parts of the world, shouldn't the life of a baby in our country be just as precious. Marriage between people of the same gender is gross and disgusting. It is plain wrong. Biologically, a male and a female get together to reproduce. You can't have that if you're the same sex. Maybe if they're hermaphrodites, but they aren't. It is against nature. It is against God.
Since the OP hasn't made a return, are we to assume it was too good to be true, and just a joke? Every time someone like this comes along it's about to get fun, it never lasts.
I don't think genocide and abortion is that comparable. We've been through this countless times before. There are some straight people who are not naturally able to reproduce anyway.
This is the reaction that I expected. I in no way shape or form wanted to offend anyone, label, or stereotype anyone. To answer a few questions about myself I am: -From Houston -I went to a very liberal HISD high school -I was raised as a Christian and have been born again through His blood Again, I did not want to upset anyone by my post. I am not trying to preach or say that my religion is better than yours or whatever lifestyle that you choose. I was merely trying to get a better grasp from your political perspective and try and get your opinions on matters like abortion, immigration, etc. I am sorry that I was not more clear on my question. At my graduation I was asked to prepare a speech about my success as an individual. As you all know now, I credit my entire life's success to my Lord Jesus Christ. I was required to submit my speech beforehand for approval. After I got my speech back I was told to alter it so that I didn't use "God" or any other religious reference to Christ. Now tell me, how is this equality? I answered the question fully and honestly liked they asked and gave my reason. How can you call me a bigot when the very practice that you preach contradicts my situation. How is it ok to talk about other religions in school but not Christianity? Why am I getting persecuted? That is what I was trying to ask when I said why is there a different set of rules. It's just unbelievable. What you believe in is ultimately up to you and I respect you for it but don't call me a bigot.
Why don't you answer some of the questions that have been posed to you? It seems you have gotten answers and a great deal of response from your initial post now answer the questions that are posed to you. Until you do, you are nothing, judging by your post, the bigot that nearly everybody in this thread has claimed you are.
Really? You didn't want to offend anyone? Hmm.. What do you have against this country and what it was founded for? Either you're a liar or simply stupid. Of course not - that's why you called them traitors and baby-killers, right? Then why not ask "what do you believe about abortion? And why" instead of "Why do you see nothing wrong with killing an innocent baby?" Clarity wasn't the problem. What was unequal about it? You want the same rules for everyone, no? If someone else gave a speech at the school crediting his life to Satan and witches and all of that, would you be OK with it? That's not allowed either. Where is the unfairness? You don't like being called a bigot, and you respond by calling people traitors and baby-killers. Awesome.
Abortion, gay marriage, family values, et al. are not conservative/liberal issues. They are moral judgments. The highest ranking member of Congress that is against abortion and gay marriage is Harry Reid, a corrupt, self-serving "liberal". I think abortion is murder and immoral, and I think it should be illegal. I am a conservative. Those two statements have nothing to do with each other. On homosexuality: The man who defined Conservatism for 50 years said this about gays in the military.
Who was it that once said, "Forgive them, for they know not what they do?" Seems like this adage might be apropos on several levels in this thread.
so you're an 18 year old kid who's bitter that his school altered his speech? go to college. meet people. talk to them even. you may learn from other viewpoints and maybe even respect those viewpoints.
I believe you. But if you stereotype liberals by your questions you will get condescending reactions in the D&D If you want sincere answers instead of condescending reactions you will need wisdom. Stereotyping is the norm here. edit- and I am glad you were sincere and honest about your high school speech, you should have been allowed to freely express what you were asked to do without prejudice.
Next time, you chomp down on that hamburger, that is murder too. It is against your God's will, but he/she/it will forgive you. That has got to rock!!!
Your asinine questions received a number of responses that were way more thoughtful and respectful than you deserved. Including one response from MadMax, that could literally change your life, if you bothered to read and really think about it. Anyway, as Major said, you are either lying or stupid.
I HAVENT READ THROUGH THIS THREAD YET BUT THAT FIRST POST WAS AMAZING! Fess up. Thadeus? Deckard bored at work maybe? Batman?
You aren't being persecuted. If you want to know what real persecution is why don't you ask one of the homosexuals that you are so against. They have probably suffered more persecution for who they are than you have ever even dreamed of.
