Someone who is -not a crazed patriot -not a known foreigner because we all know everyone else would complain -not a democrat or a republican -been on the internet long enough to know who's trolling and who isn't -not an apologist for any race, country, religion, or gender -understands the theory of evolution
Though I have lost to you on this BBS, and I have no idea what "warcraft" is, I accept. Will this work for my warcraft? It is meaner than it looks, and now I have it burning used cooking oil. It is a lean, smelly machine from which I can swing a cat of nine tails or even swing a morning star.
I'm wondering how many left wingers have been booted from this forum. From the names I keep hearing, it would sounds mostly like right wingers getting banned. It seems to me the low blows are being struck by both sides from time to time. If things change there have to be casualties on both sides of the equation.
I can think of several "liberal" bans. But moreover, there is no "have to," when, again, this is one person's site and one person only, with appointed moderators. The strangest thing about this thread is people carrying on about how things should work on clutchfans bbs. LOL.
This place was built upon active moderation....it has thrived because of it. Why not extend that to the D&D? DD
Despite my very busy professional and social calendars, I am ready, willing and able to answer this call.
Because they will be subject to attack and hate. It will be impossibly to pick someone willing to do it that has no bias. Also the bannings they give out will create more arguments than it solves.
Why not just temporarily lock the forum when posters get out of hand. We will have to police each other to keep it open.
(Sorry guys... couldn't let this one slide.) The Bork stuff and the "politics of personal destruction" is quite different from this episode, however, I don't want to get into that now. I will say that this particular kind of thing has been out of control, to the deterriment of all of us, since Newt made this comment about the 1994 Susan Smith case: He was the first in the era of 24 hour news to politicize a horrific crime and we've all been reacting since.
