I just hope the DD curse is strictly basketball related. I really like madmax and rhester.

I was thinking ATW and a couple of our more vocal muslim members. And they have to post the minutes of their deliberations.

There is great diversity in D&D
Some great people on different sides of issues
Some of the debate is very informational and helpful

I think the Mod's on this site are very tolerant, and have done a great job.

The OP gave us all a clear message- Tone it Down
    Do not abuse this privilege

We owe this site some respect, everyone registered must show respect and tone things down in D&D

I could not be a Mod

If Clutch and crew feel the need they will make a good decision.

Let's keep this going, it's all about getting those Rockets back on track. :)

Giving power to Max and Rhester will only corrupt them.
    Leave them simple but pure.

B-Bob, if you are driving this, you ARE swinging a mourning star.

BTW, I've never really understood the hostility among ClutchFans posters of differing opinions. Like most of us here, I have close friends, including my business partner, with whom I am diametrically opposed politically, but we remain close friends because we all understand what is really important -- each other.

The hostility stems from those who get personal. I personally ignore personal crap for the most part...Getting personal often shows a weakness to begin with from the other side, and there contribution is obviously marginalized, so why bother responding.
Certain posters on the opposing political fence, I have a lot of respect for: FranchiseBlade, B-Bob, Deckard...They always debate with coolness and at least an understanding/respect to me...The others can be hit or miss on ethics...Then there is mc mark, who for some reason I can't dislike....

Most people you are friendly with when push comes to shove. Micro of the real world...

thank god someone has finally said something. Two or three of our more vocal conservatives on here have a habit of spamming the usual and then playing dumb. This however extends to the entire community on here as they can't be vindicated either. Reasons that Jeff addressed are why so many posters like myself just totally avoid the forrum even though there are individuals who have matters of substance. It is highly unfair to those that the same individuals drive everyone else away and make it impossible to have an intelligent conversation.

Jeff, excellent post. All I gave to say is this: so long as there are fundamental differences between Americans and their perceptions of wealth, there will always be conflict. The question is are those differences going to limit eachothers freedoms?

In my visits to other sites, I've thought to myself they should implement a SIMILAR model of having their own internal type D&D filtering forum, moving testy subjects away from the main area.

Which means its a form of FLATTERY acknowledging D&D has a practical purpose.

No one wants to do drainage work, which in essence is the way to describe moving topics that don't interest you away from your main interests. But you can't act like the existence of it isnt important, in my opinion.

A couple weeks ago I was going make a thread about Overrated/Underrated things on Clutchans. I was going to put D&D in the underrated area. That would have been a nice contrast to this :) Though I do understand the frustrations of dealing with particular rabble rousers, non-civility and particular subject matters.

I'm sure I'm going to be banned for this, but this board is the most regulated bbs I have ever seen.

Why would anyone want to have an opinion. When you say Loud and Proud, what you really mean is that you better follow the invisible rules or you will lose basic privileges, or worse completely banned, and without a modicum of explanation.

What was my transgression? I offered an opinion about the Memphis Grizzlies that people didn't like, so poof there goes my privileges.

And while the moderators feel it's okay to do their own ranting calling others "blowhards," and lashing out that they are sick and tired of a forum as it is as though it's your kiss the pinky finger right to take anything they are willing to dish out because it is such a privilege to be on the board in the first place.

The sick thing is that most of us have been here so long that all we can do is accept the crap that they say because we have so many friends from the board.

This is probably the last time you'll here from me because I'll be banded no doubt and live will go on business as usual.

Which post caused you to lose privileges? Did you get a 'rep' note about it?

What privileges? You were never a contributing member right? So did you lose your ability to rep, because you clearly isn't banned and is still posting.
