hmm, who (^) has the free time to constantly go through every thread and pay attention to the poo flinging in here? whom could that be (^^^^^^)??
A lot of suggestions about how to punish members for "personal insults," but where do you set the boundaries? What someone might consider a personal insult, I might laugh at, and what someone else considers perfectly acceptable might drive me round the bend. How do you measure these things fairly? Adopt a "know it when you see it" approach, when someone else might view the incident differently? Frankly, I prefer moderators I trust and am used to having around, like the ones we have now. Apparently, they aren't jonesin' for a gig down in D&D.
I can easily do that, but I prefer to get in on the discussions, honestly. I used to post very moderatly, but for some reason, just got into the arguing, it may be time to retire the moniker, too much water under the bridge.....and have been too much of a whiny baby to Clutch and the crew for them to ever consider it...lol.. I am about to take a new gig anyway, and will have to cut way back...be happy to tell you guys about it, when we finalize the fund raise....but right now....super secret...but it is really really exciting. DD
what the h-e-double hockey sticks did madmax and rhester do to dd to make him nominate them as moderators. yeah, i'm sure they'd just looooooooove that job.
LOL - I am sure they would decline, which is precisely why they would be perfect. Well played my man, well played. DD
We'll just make a mod who can't post or have anything thought on matters discussed in this forum. "Those who have cannot lead, and those who lead cannot have."
If nominated, I will not accept; if elected, I will not serve. (I'm making this statement now so that when the first 450 people asked to be a D&D moderator decline and it finally lands on me because there is nobody else, I won't be tempted to do something stupid.)
da whopper has been getting you guys to write his poli-sci papers for him. Hell, I'm a white, semi-well to do, baby boomer that is going take every penny from social security I can suck with a shop-vac, and I really don't want you on my lawn. So F*** it, I'm switching, I'm on the tea party train. It really is better, for me.
