Its obviously past the breaking point, still Kirilenko should focus much more on effectiveness on the court during his given time. Rather than feel respect and the emotion out of being considered "the guy" and thinking playing an entire game is the same as being a key contributor. Which going off of his play he is NOT. Player sucks, but then suck player gets 45 minutes in a game & all of a sudden he's all better?
I pray to God you're joking. Kirilenko's fun to laugh at, as is the weenie culture which posits him as a victim, but there's something unsatisfying about beating this j*zz team. Sure it says 'Jazz' on the label, but this crap's like Coke II or something. I bet 45 year old Stockton and Malone would put up a nastier (always that), more respectable fight than this group of cowards. Today. Tomorrow. Thirty years from now. I guess what I'm saying is, what's the point of the Jazz even existing if they aren't worth hating? This is a playoff series with the mother****ing Jazz, but outside their logo who could tell? Ten years waiting for vengeance and it comes in this form? It feels like another kick in the nuts somehow. Well, at least I've got e'm. Better than AK and his team. At least there's Sloan. Maybe that's the silver lining. If he wasn't Sloan, I'd feel bad for what's a great, tough, old-school coach being saddled with players like AK-47. But it IS Sloan, so this is like an awesome dose of karma. All those years and all those dirty Jazz teams, and now Sloan is done in by...his own soft players who are afraid of playing rough! Nevermind. This is great!
Finally some reason to the situation along with Will and Jeff. Crying is just another way to show emotion, usually sad & usually associated with females. When a guy cries, the first thing we think of is a nervous breakdown. We'd much rather see a BB player slam the ball to the floor (and get a technical foul) after a bad call than cry. We all show emotion differently and differently is what gets printed and put on the airways. If he hadn't shown tears, that interview would have maybe made page 13. All in all, he's mad about his PT. I would be mad too if I shot a higher percentage in a game than my big man starters and still played less than 17 minutes.
I agree. Fran Blinebury's metaphors have always been and continue to be examples of a sports journalist trying to come across really smart, but in reality looking like a 5th grader attempting to write a novel.
After reading the jazz forum, the one idea they had for AK was to put him on Yao (fronting). I hope Sloan isn't this creative.. 'cuz, honestly, I think it's a good idea.
Come on....give the guy a break.. players are emotional... Didn't T-mac cried after we lost to Mavs in 2005 playoff? Didn't Kobe cried after they lost to Detroit in the final?
lets pray for the troops in iraq...not for an emo basketball player who is crying about his reduced role on his team... some of you guys are unbelievable...
i hope you dont cry if you ever lose your job. deal with it and try to improve...sloan told ak that his role would be reduced this year. he needs to deal with it. If he doesnt want to deal with it, i'd rather have the guy come out and ask to be traded in the offseason. not than cry about it.
And whats the difference between what AK is doing and what vspan did? AK is crying about it... Vspan said some stupid stuff... they both need to shut up and accept their role on their respective teams... why did we not pray for vspan? cuz he didnt cry?
AK is a max contract player who is a starter and a main cog in their team. Vspan is near the bottom of the roster making almost nothing (in comparison) AK is falling apart during the playoffs Vspan did it during the regular season Utah probably can't win without a contribution from AK Houston can win without anything from Vspan
He's already crying and the series isn't even over yet. Those guys cried after the outcome. If he acts like the series is already, then he will perform like the series is already lost. If he acts like the series is already won, then he will perform like a madman. If you believe you can do it, you are right. If you believe you can't do it, you are right.
Ummm I'm not comparing their skill and value to the team, but if the coach makes a decision about a players PT, dont make a scene...Bonzi made a scene and he's out. Vspan needed to shut his mouth and he did...Now it's AK's turn...but i hope he keeps crying and it effects the jazz's play
and if you think Utah cannot win w/o AK, you're mistaken. If Okur shoots better than 2-14...and boozer better than 4-17. UTAH WINS that game with your boy AK on the bench for most of it
I'm sorry, I just wanted to give myself props for actually understanding what you were trying to say here.. BTW, were you drunk? 'Over-exaggerated' would work too.
