Obviously, Kirilenko is in a tough emotional place, but if he's not available to his team in this second game with the fullest heart, I don't see the Utah fans appreciating his presence at all. He won't get Game 3 time if he doesn't at least show himself for Game 2.
God..if you are a grown man, you should NOT be crying over playing time or whatever. You make millions and millions of dollars a year. Don't be a p***y and cry. Sorry, that's just how I see it.
Very easy arguments for you to make sitting on ur fat ass (no offense), but the fact is at the elite level of any sport the pressure and impossible expectations do drive alot of them crazy. There are the high profile breakdowns like AK, but so many go unnoticed or emerge when the sportsperson is out of the limelight. I think mental health/counselling should be made more of an issue.
the jazz owner is harder on the players then sloan is....I can see why he would get stressed out alittle.
what a wussy crying over his playing time, suck less please Kirilenko, then you might be able to play some more. A multi millionaire 10 year old needs to grow some nuts!
where do they actually show AK cryinig? all i remember is the interviewer pointing (and Derek Fisher looking) in a direction off-camera. there's not another video out, is there?
"Overpaid guy sucked in Game 1" is enough of a story. "And he cried" adds nothing but juvenile voyeurism. This is not a mental health story. It's an excuse to make fun of a man for letting tears out of his eyes in public.
WTF man up little man..!!!! Seriously though your getting paid millions and millions of dollars that only a very few can have and playing a sport .. SPORT to do so... Also as a bonus your wife lets you have a 1 night stand a month man... OMG 99% of the people on this board would love to trade shoes with this cry baby...
Don't simplify his situation to the extent that it might all be based on his playing time. I'm certain there is more to it, so lets not jump to conclusion.
I agree. Athletes have a very short career life, that is why most relish the chance to play. Of course, there are examples of atheletes who sit on their ass while racking in millions, without a even hint of urgency to want to play. Personally, if Bonzi, cried in public because he wanted to contribute, I would petition for him to play, because it just shows how much he cares about the team and wanting to be part of something. People seem to make such hasty conclusions as to why things are without fully understanding the situation. I wonder if he will become desparate enough to ask for a buy out...
This reminds me of when Ivan Drago at the end of Rocky 4 started to break down and shouted, "I win for me! FOR ME!"
Lots of great advice in this thread. If Kirilenko doesn't play well in this series, great. Since Kirilenko is obviously unhappy with his reduced role in Utah, hell, bring him here. Get a 3rd team involved like New Jersey, whatever, but a power forward who can handle the ball, block shots, score inside and out? Golly gee whillikers, I couldn't possibly think of a team needing a power forward with those skills (*cough* ROCKETS! *cough*)
If AK cries playing under Sloan he would no doubt break down under JVG. JVG doesn't like weak minded players on his team. AK needs to go to a players coach who will coddle him.
