that's because you live in the houston market and the blackout restrictions apply to your local team (rockets) these League Pass/NbaTV/Blackout threads usually cause much confusion and havoc amongst Rocket fans. here's my last take on the matter. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=4852005&postcount=19 I still haven't figured out why some of you guys don't get the NBAtv package with your cable... i understand for those who are in dorms and are relying on the Broadband package. but to complain that you get blacked out, what would you have done if the game in question was originally slated for the major networks? how would you have seen the game? and if the answer is watch it on cable, why aren't you getting NBAtv? I still assume there are more fans with NBAtv than with Broadband.
Maybe because our provider doesn't have NBA LEAGUE PASS... I just wish some people would see out side of their box to understand just because you have doesn't mean everyone has....
couldn't the same apply to those who don't subscribe to Broadband and have the NBAtv package, they would enjoy a chance to see this non-regularly televised game? Broadband fans are asking us not to vote for the Rockets so that they can have their needs met... I see two solutions; you need to contact your cable provider (who are you with?) to find out why they don't offer NBAtv... and Broadband subscribers need to continue to flood customer support with complaints about NBA tv taking away their chance to watch a team that they are paying money to follow over a season. tell them you will never have the option of NBAtv for whatever reason and try to get a response. I am trying to understand both sides, T-Man. it is hard for out-o-area fans to follow every game with restrictions like these. there should never be a thread about the Rockets in which fans are voting AGAINST seeing their team on National TV. And if NBAtv isn't available in all markets, NBA needs to react to the needs of the consumers....
no offense to the OP, but if your cable provider doesn't provide League Pass, your not going to get NBATV either, no? considering you thought this was supposed to be on TNT, my original assessment stands... there's just too much confusion between League Pass/League Pass Broadband/NBAtv FanNight/ and Blackout Restrictions. I participate in every one of these threads because I am an out of market rocket fan who tries to make sure I have access to every game. broadband is the best option. but NBAtv is awesome. demand your cable company provides it (if they already don't and you're not aware)
What are you like 10.... Not every provider wants to pay the fee for NBA League Pass.. The same as they all don't want to pay the fee for NFL TV.. WOW!!!! CONTACT YOUR CABLE PROVIDER... DUHHHHHHHH WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT ... DOH!!! This thread was created to be an information source since co many of you moan and cried about the Rockets getting no TV time. If you don't want it on TNT, NBATV whatever than by pass the thread and don't vote... That freakin simple.
it was never an option for TNT. it was an option for NBAtv. NBA League Pass is not the same thing as NBAtv. so the thread you started, if you got the reslut you wanted, you wouldn't be able to watch the game since you don't have NBA tv. I am simply trying to be a part of the conversation and contribute the info that I am familiar with. Do you get NBAtv or not, T-Man? I'm not talking about Leauge Pass, and I'm not talking about TNT. it was never a part of the discussion. NBA FanNight occurs on NBAtv, not League Pass. save the personal insults and try to comprehend that I am doing my best to clear the air between warring sections of Rockets fans. if we don't contact our cable providers and nba about these issues, the problems will persist.
Last time I will respond to your post... I have ATT uverse and they want bend to the NBA and vice versa.. Do I have any authority on getting the deal done NO... Do I live in H-Town now.... NO If I did I would have no need for League Pass You are basically acting as if myself and others have not contacted the provider about League Pass and that is annoying as Crap... Some of us did pass by the school even if we didn't go into it... Wow I made a mistake and put TNT instead of NBATV.. Please all Admins forgive me and give me a Ticket and don't put me in jail.. As I stated to you earlier... This was an information thread.. Your choice to click on the site to vote or not.... No biggie on my part, I will see the game one way or another... If it's home, a bar, Wizards, D & B in Frisco or somewhere... My point to you Poindexter is to stop assuming that everyone has the same service as you and stop assuming that we are not smart enough to contact our provider...
settle down, t_man. no need for these insults. your original thread is full of confusing details (wrong network, wrong date, etc...) and I wanted to try my best to clear up any confusion based on my experiences with being a Broadband customer, as well as being a subscriber to NBA tv (which is different from League Pass, which is different from Broadband) making a suggestion to contact your cable provider is not an assumption, it's the only way to get this screwy system (which I recognize) to work on our behalf(our=out of market rockets Fans) I understand the frustration that the fans are dealing with because I have dealt with them too. "alleyez" spammed the board with 9 duplicate posts and you started this thread in response, but I'm not mad at you T-Man. I was trying to figure out what kind of consumer you are and why the options aren't available to you. without you telling me I'm not assuming anything. the other thing I noticed is that currently, most Rockets fans here do not endorse voting for Rockets for Fan Night and I was sharing the previous results of threads similar to this one. but thanks for bringing this to our attention since it didn't affect you (since you don't have League Pass or NBA tv). you'll see the game one way or another. I just observe and report. I'm not interested in a debate about it. you have completely misread every one of my contributions to this thread. My apologies for creating what you thought was a debate.
