Barkley: "The first round was crazy, the 2nd round both matchups are gonna be awful." Shaq: "I wanna see how the Rockets are gonna defend, how they're gonna rebound, offensively and defensively." Green: "If the guards can step up, Green and KCP, they should put the Rockets away easily."
He got nothing better to do, they train him to be the next analyst at TNT after retirement, as a stand in for the original crew. They also made Chuck agree with him. No more beef.
Absolutely. After a tough start the Lakers looked better for sure. Nope. They do not have the two best players in the series. I would agree that the LeBron/Davis duo is better than Harden/Westbrook. Yes, the Lakers in 6 is a very reasonable possibility. [/QUOTE] Perhaps but I think it comes down to whether the Lakers under estimate the Rockets, injuries and how the Rockets shot from 3...... if the Rockets shoot especially well from 3, the Lakers are in trouble. The Lakers need to get Davis more shots and also dominate the boards. Westbrook has a chance to have a massive series as it is a really good match up for him........ if Davis or Tucker get in foul trouble the series could really change.... also Kuzma's production against Eric Gordon is worth watching IMO.
Well, no **** Draymond.............. so basically if the biggest weakness of the Lakers step up, they should win the series easily? I really appreciate that ground breaking knowledge.
How do they underestimate the Rockets when CP3 deliberately called Lebron after Gm 7 and most likely told him our weaknesses.
Who wouldn't pick the Lakers? They have a better/the best record, the Rockets looked like hot crap for 4 of the last 5 games, and they were deemed title favorites in preseason, they have the greatest player of his era, arguably of all time, still at the edge of his prime, and the greatest big man of his era at his peak. Granted the Rockets provide matchup difficulties that should make it very interesting, but if you're just guessing as to the outcome, of course you're going to pick the Lakers.
How? Because the Lakers and LeBron James have an enormous ego. Also, I would not count on CP3 having anything positive to say about anyone he loses to in the playoffs and that includes the Rockets.
He doesn't need to state the positives...package it as a joke. Yo Bron, they defend really hard and close out to the shooters well, our Lu (Dort) scored 30, lol. We still lost but if we had you, we would have taken them down easily. While the Lakers are arrogant both AD and LBJ come from humble beginnings... AD with Nola, LBJ is from Akron, Ohio.
Tall is better than small. Predictable responses. But I am with Shaq, lets see if this (small ball) works. Some may feel its already proven itself to work, to a point. But the playoffs are a different season. Proving it works in the playoffs is entirely different than regular season success.
We are definitely (thankfully) the underdog. The Rockets aren't expected to do anything but get crushed in this series so they should go out and play free.
Russell Westbrook - Rajon Rondo, Alex Caruso James Harden - Danny Green Eric Gordon - PF P.J Tucker - LeBron James C Robert Covington - Anthony Davis Jeff Green - Kyle Kuzma Austin Rivers Ben McLemore
At least give Dray some credit for being the only guy to mention the Lakers weakness. Nobody mentioned the Rockets “others”. the others are as/more important then the stars this series. the Lakers start Danny Green, KCP and Javale McGee. Let that sink in for a second. Alex Caruso might be their third best player. Dray states the obvious... but also I guess for media not so obvious. If the Lakers others are going to suck they can win. also not a one talked about how good the Thunder were. Best record in the NBA post Christmas I believe. Really good f’ing team.
