If I am not mistaken, Kobe was panicking and called Shaq to ask for advice/help as well.

Not sure if this was posted already since I stopped following this thread. This is Kobe's legacy. A hero.

Malakas, a person is innocent until proven guilty. Kobe was never found guilty, so therefore he innocent.

I think it's possible and probable, so yes. But the law doesn't care what I think. The law wants proof. The law still says that he is innocent until proven guilty, and OJ was never proven guilty. So OJ is still innocent.

I also think it's possible and probable that people are capable of lying or doing anything to get easy money. Do you agree?

I don’t agree that it’s “probable” people will do anything to get easy money. But, sure, possible.

I think it’s possible/probable that a rape victim would not think potential justice for the offense committed against them is worth having their private life exposed and scrutinized by the defense. In which case, choosing to drop a criminal case and go with a settlement would be completely rational and unsurprising. Do you agree?

That (settling for all the reasons you mentioned) may be the case for some victims, yes, I agree with you. But there are also some victims who don't settle, instead choose to testify and put their lives under the microscope in order to get a verdict against the defendant. And then there are some victims who aren't victims at all. Problem is how do we know which category to put this victim in? ..... We don't.

Both parties settled. There was no guilty verdict. Kobe may have raped the girl. Maybe he didn't. Maybe she just was going after his money and lied about the rape part. We don't know, therefore we can not say definitively that he is guilty.

Kobe did more good than bad in this world
And if you want to judge him that’s your right
But you aren’t going to convince anyone he’s Charles Manson, Pol Pot or Ted Bundy

My take is that If Kobe was alive now
What are the chances he’s going to rape anyone ?
    I would predict low

    Now look at RKelly
What are the odds of him going after teenagers? High
Cause he hasn’t stopped and there was lots of evidence that he did it
Evidence that he video taped it

look I get some people here think Colorado was 100% true
But the other stuff he did was true too . All the charities, raising kids, creating a girls basketball academy
    And play basketball

Don’t forget Jordan and Tiger woods had mistresses
    Athletes aren’t perfect people

and if you were put in a place where people look at you as a superhero you can’t say 100% you would do the ‘wrong’ thing
