Exactly...had Thomas said yes, we wouldn't be remembering "Akeem" or "Hakeem" in Houston the same way we do now....and Akeem was 30 when that was happening.

Harden should've at least been a good teammate and brought some of the guys out to the strip club.

Unless the cost was giving up an all-night gambling trip to Atlantic City.

And Tmac never made it past the first round either and not even close to the WCF.

i dont have a lot of interest to talk about this clubbing kinda topic. (i think yoyo in this thread explained things in detail and it was a great post).

but, what's with the logic (or anti-logic) of "look, mj or magic did the similar things"? that's just str8 foolish.

Because the topic of this thread is clearly being used to support the narrative that a guy who goes to a club after a game can't win.....and the fact MJ and Magic did the same or similar refutes that.

What Harden does on his own time is his business so I don't have a problem with this, but at this point you have to question if he has the drive to be truly great.

He has already accomplished a great deal up to this point.

-He's been to the finals with OKC
    -Multiple time all-star
-He's already had one max contract
    -Team USA gold winner
    -200 million from Adidas
-MVP caliber season, and with the players vote for MVP he probably he see's himself as last years MVP

Only thing left really is a Championship and you just to hope he doesn't get complacent with what he's accomplished so far

You guys are too judgmental. Although I don't think he was enough heart to lead a team. How many times have we got off work and wanted to see some scattered azz to let off some stress?

You guys are trying to connect this TMZ report of James Harden going to a strip club last night with his drop off in effort from last year.

The connection doesn't hold water because he did the same **** last year when he carried our squad.

If you believe that there's something wrong with James this year - it's a shame to hear that you all are ready to give up on him after just a half season.

All of this shouldn't be a shock. He's an LA guy who has a proven track record of big booty stripper obsession.

However the conversation really is relevant where YOU GUYS actually are willing to advocate trading him because of his personality, and are willing to accept the consequences of trading a top 5 player with no way of replacing the talent for years.

This was the night before an off day. It was after the game. He wasn't recorded as being drunk to where he'd have a severe hangover that can effect his play against Detroit.

It is what it is. I wish Harden had a more squeeky clean rep as well. But it doesn't change the fact that we'd be stupid to trade him now unless we get significant evidence that his play will soon drop.

its not he cant win because of clubbing. its just not a good thing given the circumstances. it cant be a good thing for the team psychology and his own image.

the fact mj or other great players did sth. similar in the past does not change the above fact.

It's probably why he played so poorly last night, he wanted to get to the strip club earlier and was pissed off when the team pushed it to OT.
