Tracy needs to find out what he is still capable of out there and adjust his game accordingly with Yao pulling the wagon. The Rockets need efficiency out of Tracy and everyone else...Let Yao do the HEAVY lifting on the way to a title.
i saw something in yesterday's game that really showed me some light....at the end of the game TMac still had hunger and most importantly his disappointment on himself because of the lost is he had the heart of a champion....mark my words he will be coming back...tmac is gonna become a monster...he wants to win and is going into a state of finding himself
If he doesn't bring it in the playoffs then I'll be with you. Not until then. Going to the rack is what what make AI, Wade, Lebron, Manu, etc even more valuable in the playoffs, even if they don't have all of Tmac's skills. We need Tmac healthy and ready to drive hard in the playoffs. If more Js in the regular season leads to this, fine.
I wonder how many folks in the Miami Heat fan forum are complaining about Dwayne Wade shooting too much and wondering what's wrong with him after his 5-23 (1-4 3pt) shooting tonight against Detroit. Give me a break. C'mon, guys, Tmac has been solid in other aspects, particularly playmaking. He hasn't been as consistent scoring as he would undoubtedly prefer, and he had a very poor night shooting against Phoenix. The Rockets are going to need his offensive contributions as the season progresses (and in the playoffs), so he might as well try and regain his shot sooner than later.
look at kobe today.... 10/16 in the first half of utah game and end the half with a facial over jazz I think even with a knee like his, he still is clearly better
Kobe is coming from freaking surgery and hes shooting 15-21 tonight. If only TMAC could shoot like that...(and dunk)
Yea um he basically did practice alot at home. TMac is not his old self, even though I don't agree with 1/2 a year to get shot back, I believe it takes about 1/4 of a year. Not saying that I am the best shooter or anything, but I am decent and took about a year off of basketball and took me roughly a year to get my shot back, I don't see why it should take him any less time, sure he is a pro, but their game is quite a bit more difficult . I think TMac will become a very solid jumpshooting point forward, with a little bit of driving back once everything comes together. And when everyone says he should have given the ball to Ming, did you guys watch what I was watching? Yao was getting triple teamed to just try to pass the ball in their it would have been ridiculous. I am pretty sure I would trust TMac with the ball in his hand in the 4th over anyone else (outside of Yao), He has taken over enough games that we can't just get on his case. Also he is a naturally slow started look at his career, almost every year he starts slow and the fact that he is starting slow again and still rockets are 10-5 watch out for 2nd half of the Rockets they could be VERY dangerous.
First of all, bad shooting is not just one night for him. The most important thing, I think, (maybe only JVG knows) is discipline. Dwayne has no other choice. Rockets is different.
Again, like I stated in a post earlier. I believe many people on this board can live with McGrady shooting 9/24 if he took 12 of those shots getting into the lane. D Wade is like Iverson, he is fearless getting into the lane. McGrady is SETTLING for jump shots. In my opinion, he's not bringing it.
Kobe is better than Tmac, but most importantly PJ is a lot better than JVG. PJ can get his players under control, but JVG can't. Look at tonight game stat sheet. Nobody beside Kobe took more than 10 shots. For Rockets to beat good teams like spurs, suns, and mavs, Yao needs to take 20+ shots per game, Tmac around 20- shots, and noone else takes more than 10 shots. If Alston were in LA, he would never see the light of the court. John.
After rewatching the game, especially the 4th quarter, I kind of want to take my words back. It appeared to me that it was not Mcgrady didn't want to attack the rim, but he couldn't. He was too slow to make an effective penetration, and when a couple times he did, he got blocked. Maybe it was the punch MJ gave him, he was playing with pain. And about settling for too many jumpers in the 4th quarter, he really had no choice. Yao was double-teamed so hard, and tired. The other players couldn't make their shots. Battier, Rafer, Luther, they all had their shots, none of them falled in. Only Novak made 1. So, Mcgrady, being the leader, chose to shoot the ball himself. At least he wasn't afraid to take the responsiblity. I do hople Mcgrady get well, stay healthy, and find his touch back soon. I like him a lot. Yesterday I was just really out of my mind. Sorry, I apologize.
i'm probably not alone here... but i gotta say: i hope tmac keeps shooting! cause we can't win without him!! he's almost untradable and he's injury prone. he's our only hope! we gotta believe this guy can play at a level that will elevate this team. WHERE ELSE YA GONNA LOOK? luther? battier? rafer? it ain't happening troops. as rockets fans we have to pull for this guy and hope he can be 75% of what he was in orlando. as great as yao is, the rest of this team cannot provide enough support to get us out of the first round. i'm pissed and frustrated with tmac's subpar play as well. but honestly, he ain't goin anywhere and there's nobody else on this team that can truly help yao carry the load. just remember that before you start hatin on tmac too bad. theres no other option! KEEP SHOOTIN TMAC - PLEASE GOD GET YOUR KILLER INSTINCT AND YOUR GAME BACK!
