Here are the McGrady stats that matter. WITH McGrady in the lineup: 162-83, a .661 winning percentage WITHOUT McGrady in the lineup: 19-46, a .292 winning percentage
Yep. Although if the right deal came along we have to be willing to listen. I don't see a team offering enough though. The Luol Deng Ben Gordon deal isn't enough for me.
DAMN LUTHER, 24 minutes and 0-5 with ZERO points. my god, i think head has sucked just as bad the last few games no?? i hope luther can regain the stretch a yr ago where he was our clutchest player and shoot with confidence.
TMac really sucks, let's just trade him to CBA for Yao's cousin, then the Rockets will be on its way to a dynasty.
Right Luther sucked as HELL. But you can say luther was only 2 years in the leauge What can you tell about Juwan? Veteran?
But see, you're just reaching now. You're at the realm of technicalities. No one is going to really remember how far each player has got in their careers, they will just remember that they aren't winners. They aren't champions. Kobe has already locked up his rings and now he's questing for more. Same with Duncan. Shaq. The Pistons. If you want to replace McGrady, fine, but at least replace him with a winner. Not two losers in Dirk and Pau. The cold hard facts are neither Tracy McGrady nor Dirk Nowitzki nor Pau Gasol have won rings. That's the ultimate goal. Not to win a playoff game. Not to win a playoff series. Not to be Conference champs. It's to win the ring. I agree Dirk has tasted playoff success, but it's not very much of his own doing. The fact that Top Geezer wants a certifiied choker (Dirk) and a certified loser (Pau Gasol...he couldn't even win 1 game!?) in place of T-Mac (who could be both, admittedly) is mind-boggling. Dirk is just as soft if not more than T-Mac. And I don't see how you could want a guy who hasn't even won a playoff game over a guy who has almost gotten out of the first round with minimal help (T-Mac in Orlando).
Two things Stand out about Tracy 1. Free Throw Shooting 2. Defense I won't mention his focus . .which is a third one Rocket River
lol. ...good point. defense is a lot of effort (focus/concentration) and less about athletic ability (although it counts, of course) FTs have to be all mental (focus/concentration) because T-Mac has fine form.
dude's dealing with confidence issues right now for the first time in his career. it's almost like he's still adjusting to adelman's offense where for once in a long time, tmac doesn't have to carry everyone else.
i don't think its for the 1st time in his career, T-Mac is just what he is. I have learned to appreciate my poodle who might not have such a big heart but you can always HOPE will keep you company and be loyal, while wondering what could have been with the neighbors German shepherd guarding your back
I've always wondered about this... When they talk about shooting it is a skill, rebounding is a skill, passing is a skill, but no one says defense is a skill. To a certain extent everyone says if you work harder you can become better at all of these skills but not good. Is that true about defense? Is it possible that defense is a skill? Its obviously not about atheleticism, there are guys who show the same "effort" on defense and are atheletic but aren't as good as Bowen or Battier. Isn't defense a skill too? What about FT shooting? Jordan was known for having some of the most concentration in the game but he wasn't the free throw shooter Ray Allen or Steve Nash is. Steve Nash is known for being a fierce competitor but is terrible on defense, is it because he isn't trying at all? i don't know, it doesn't seem as cut and dry as people make it out to be.
