Yao was just tired. I don't see why people say he's scared. Oneal just blocked one of his shots and all of sudden Oneal dominate?? C'mon plzzzzzz.....i can tell the commentators are biased. Yao had blocked Shaq many times before....
The usual "tough" guys crawled out of their holes, when Yao missed 2 shots and had a foul in a row, while they staying put during the entire third quarter. How predictable!
looked like barry had enough lift to dunk it, but the defender had a good angle on the block, so barry tried to adjust and he couldnt...
shaq really does get up for yao. he's playing more minutes, he's gonig after dunks ferociously. he's making moves and playing defense harder. and yao can't back shaq down because he's so big so yao's offense is almost always just hook shots and contested jumpers. it's no surprise shaq plays yao evenly or wins some of the time. what's actually surprising is how well yao always defends shaq. the refs seem to give him so much more respect going against shaq like they don't want to ruin the matchup with the little touch fouls they call on yao at other times. like when shaq tried that dunk and they didn't call it. shaq is only 8-16 even with several dunks created for him by other people where yao had to help. straight up on yao his FG% isn't great.
its tougher than you think..while lowry may be playing better, Yao may take a hit because lowry's defender wont come out on lowry and go double Yao...with brooks, the defender has to worry about his 3 point range..
