Against Phx, it's more important to team rebound. They don't miss much, Yao is pre-occupied with Shaq, and they will try to beat to to the spot for rebound with quickness. (Amumdson has 7, I haven't even heard his name before.)
Grant Hill, Jason Richardson, and Matt Barnes are 17-21 from the field. That is why Houston is losing. Cant let their other starters shoot 80%, Battier and Artest are getting abused. Several times the Suns have just done 1 screen and gotten a wide open 12 foot jumper. That is just lazy.
I'm not happy at all with the play tonight, but as poorly as we've played, we're only down 11. I'm hoping Rick will adjust the gameplan, and the Rockets come out with some intensity. These Suns have wilted in their recent games, and we are still very much in this contest.
The team looked rusty after the long break, the Clippers game notwithstanding. Just a step slower than the Suns. But they looked like they were warming at the end of the second quarter, and I expect a better performance in the second half.
If we only win half our remaining games we could easily lose HCA in the first round. Good shape you think?
