i think lots of people have mentioned already that tmac and kobe's careers are very similar, but in reverse order. ie orlando tmac=present kobe, shaq kobe=present tmac...

however, one thing to bear in mind is that kobe chased away his big dominant man... tmac ran to find his big dominant man. i think tmac is more mature and understands the game much better... it also reflects in his game how he is able to play in the flow of the game. kobe's game, although he may have assists and his teammates may shoot, it's either all offense kobe or all passing kobe. very rarely does he get the balance right.

both are talented, i think tmac understands more though...

I watched the whole LAL/PHX game. Lakers simply missed a lot wide-open 3 pointers and could not make any shoots at critical time. I don't know if it is worth for Kobe to trust hiss teammate or not.

I was very dispointed since I hoped at least LAL could make PHX exhausted. The Suns only scored 95

Does he vanish or does Kobe stop involving his teammates?

I seriously doubt Odom just disappears whenever there is pressure. The guy is a good player.

dude have u seen rafer? tmac CONTINUES to trust him even fi he goes 3-12 or something and i don't know why he does. but that's the confidence and willingness to pass that tmac plays with that allows rafer to have confidence.

    same case goes with hayes.

the greatness of a player is not just be there for your role players when they do well, but also be there for them when they do bad. kobe disregards his teammates if they miss a few shots (and i don't think they played that bad, esp. odom and walton).

but tmac continues to trust his players and continues to pass to them if they're open. that's why tmac is tmac.

Yes, the LAL missed a few 3-pointers, but that is not an excuse for Kobe to start taking crazy shots like fadeaways over 2 defenders.

Note that when Rafer or Battier are missing, TMac will still pass it to them because with a wide open shot there is a good chance they can heat up again.

Also, TMac has far better court vision than Kobe. TMac makes some amazing passes that get guys like Chuck Hayes and Mutombo very easy layups.

at this point, phil jackson is just earning a free paycheck. phil jackson understands this is kobe's team, and phil is deffering to kobe coaching wise also. kobe is the real head coach.

Passing is an instinct. You pass the ball to the guy who is open and has the best chance to score. When you are a good passer, you pass to the guy at that spot. You don't worry who that guy is, Chuck Hayes or Shane Battier. This is called playing the game the right way.

I find it hilarious that people dog Kobe's supporting cast as pure garbage but while he is on the bench and his teammates actually get to touch the ball, they make shots. Lamar Odom is an amazing talent and is being wasted playing alongside a hog like Kobe. The guy was dominant in Wade's rookie season in Miami and they went to the second round. Too bad for him he is stuck in Lala land again.

Go fishin early again kobes, this is what YOU wanted, to be a hog and do it all by yourself, you got your wish!

    Go ROCKETS!!!

The other thing is Tmac is much higher and with longer arms than Kobe. Like in today's game, when Suns double or even triple teamed Kobe, Kobe didn't have a good sight and the ability to find and pass well to an open man like Tracy.
