Clyde had a lot more flair in his game. He had that Earl the Pearl spin move. I don't think I've ever seen Tracy do that. A much better finisher as well.
I think T-Mac has greater all-around talent but it's hard to argue with Clyde's accomplishments. In the 90's, other than Jordan, was there a better swingman than Clyde? I'd go with Clyde UNLESS T-Mac helps us win a championship.
The game looks easier for McGrady... I'm not really sure how to explain it... Clyde seemed to press his game harder, whereas McGrady looks like he's just a conduit for his.
Drexler by a bit. Drexler was a better scorer and more driven than T-Mac. T-Mac is a more complete player and better shooter, but I think Drexler's will puts him over the top.
The fact Tracy leads the poll shows most of the people voting are too young to know how good Clyde was. There shouldn't be any question. Clyde's competitiveness and mental toughness blow Tracy away. Tracy has the superior skillset but he doesn't have the heart to use it to the fullest.
career stats drexler 47% shooter tracy 43% i think most fans here didn't watch the nba until recently
Drexler and it isn't even close. Drexler shot .472 from the field and .318 from three. T-Mac is a career .439 shooter and .342 from three. Drexler also averaged 6.1 rpg and 5.6 apg. T-Mac at 6.3 and 4.6. Before Michael won all the titles, there was real debate as to who was better. To say he wasn't as athletic as T-Mac is also suspicious. He wasn't called Clyde the Glide for nothing. He was exceptionally fast and could jump big time. He could dunk like crazy, block shots, etc. Also, to the poster who asked if Drexler ever got out of the first round, I hope that was a joke considering he won a title with some team that played in the Summit.
Drexler scored a lot more inside than T-Mac. He was a better finisher. T-Mac was the better shooter. Apparently
T-Mac is a bad shooter. I don't know why people think he's good. When he isn't getting to the basket and is taking a bunch of jump shots he struggles.
That doesn't tell the whole story. Drexler was a more agressive driver than McGrady so he would naturally have a higher fg%.
That was the toughest poll ever. T-Mac has the highlights but Drexler in his prime with Yao would have to go to the finals.
The funny thing about polls like this is that YOFs will vote for Drexler even if they have never even seen him play.
Drexler's highlights dwarf those of Mcgrady, trust me. if one didn't see Drexler's game growing up, one shouldn't vote.
indeed, the bulls trailblazers finals answered the question and put michael into a whole 'nother realm
