Agree. McGrady a tiny hair better than Kobe 3 seasons, individually. Kobe didnt advance in postseason as "the man" either until '08. Which also included a team coming back after needing only 1 win to advance. But McGrady's teams have underachieved ALL his postseasons except '08.
well the main thing about it that surprised me was that a player (kobe) could get a triple double yet be in the negative with the whole +/- which is why it was bold..

It doesn't make sense to me that you would compare T-Mac to anybody, especially now. Despite the Laker's loss yesterday to the Magic, it's pretty obvious who the better player is at this point in their careers.
think what you want the overall concensus, is that TMac has never been able to carry Kobe's jock strap.
i dont understand the + and the -s ratings. they make no friggin sense. I see a player who shot 0-5 and sometimes a guy like that has a higher rating thena guy who pulled down 10 boards and shot 50% somebody tell me how that +/- works?
it shows the difference in the team's scoring when the player is on the court. it has nothing to do with other individual stats. it's a tool that can be helpful only if taken in the right context. you have also to look at other stats, playing time, and who they're matched up against. otherwise, it can be deceiving. barry always has a high +/- because he always plays limited minutes and cuz he mostly plays the opponent's second unit.
there's a difference between being a Rockets fan and being an embarrassment to all Rocket fans. I root for Tmac cause he's on our team, but no way in hell is he better than Kobe.. EVER. I root for Luis Scola, I don't think he's better than Tim Duncan. you need to take the Tmac Adidas glasses off and see him for what he really is. And besides, Team first.
lol The OVERALL consensus, yes Duh. But what part of individual season can't be understood? Values and ranks can fluctuate. Muhammad Ali is the the greatest boxer, but Joe Frazier beat him 1 time and for a short time Frazier can say he was the best. I dont know what this thread's about either. kobe bryant = shaun white of basketball, basically gets any calls in his favor, especially if it's good for the game i.e. breaking records. that last quarter vs. knicks was pathetic ball. kobe dribbles pass half court , 2 free throws + then another two + another two.
