Freedom of choice. Now, back to the point. Has Tracy really always been committed to winning a championship? Has he always made that obvious to his teammates, coaches and fans? If you argue that he just didn't show it, he internalized it, isn't that wrong in itself? Why did JVG have to write letters to him urging him to work harder and be a leader? I don't see other star players hiding their commitment to winning? Do you ever question Kobe's desire to win rings? LeBron's? Garnett's? The fact that so many people question his dedication must have some significance. I'm not the only one. That many people probably aren't completely wrong.
You are so wrong! The 07-08 Rockets will always be remembered as a team that acquired the 22 winning streak!
Agreed. That is one thing they'll be remembered for. That was great. They'll also be remembered for losing in the 1st round. It's historical fact.
Let's say they had two 11 game win steaks with a loss in between then lost in the 2nd round. Would you have still preferred the 22 game win streak and a loss in the 1st round? Championships are what matter. Regular season accomplishments, scoring titles, etc... don't mean anything compared to hanging a banner.
They'd say they were disappointed and that they were determined to do better the next season. They would also back their words up by showing their commitment to their teammates, coaches and fans. Oh yea, they'd also show you all the rings on their fingers.
People are delusional if they think a couple of weeks will make any difference. Even if his knee and conditioning are improved, it's not like he acquired a good work ethic for the first time in his life. It's not like he will suddenly and permanently have the determination and desire that we need out of the guy taking up over $20 million in payroll. A zebra can't change its stripes.
So what are you saying, exactly? Tracy has proven to pretty much everyone he's a great player when healthy. I feel sorry for you if you havent figured that out yet. If he's healthy(and he says he is) he's going to play great once he hits the floor again, and you will be eating your words.
So the right reaction when fans realizing something is wrong is by calling names and making false assumptions?
I don't think calling Tmac as quitter is false assumption. Of course, name calling is obviously unnecessary.
