http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/02/sports/basketball/02knicks.html McGrady Believes He'll Be An All-Star Again Apr 02, 2010 12:39 AM EST Tracy McGrady has been taking his comeback slowly, but he is confident he will return to form next season. “There’s no question I will be an All-Star,” McGrady said. “Not right now, but next year when I come into the season, I will be an All-Star-caliber player, there’s no question.” He added, for emphasis, “I will be myself next year.” McGrady dunked for the first time in a New York uniform just this week. McGrady said he could see the progress. “I feel my explosiveness coming back,” he said. New York is near the top of McGrady’s list for free agent, but the chance to win a title and proximity to his wife and four children, who remain in Houston will be bigger issues than money. At the end of the day, he is still going to go down as the first ever two-time scoring champion to not make it into the HOF. Hell even potential to be the first two time scoring champion to never get past the first round.
Once again. Tracy McGrady can't play so he opens his mouth. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/02/sports/basketball/02knicks.html?ref=basketball AND after tha he said THIS N/C
Can't wait till he gets on his new team. "This is definitely the best team i've played on. The best players i've ever played with also! No doubt in my mind we will be a contending team with ME."
It would be a cool story, bro if Tmac reunites with VC in Orlando playing Turkoglu's old role. (Turkoglu was pretty much a poor man's Tmac in Orlando) Another thing to remember is how Tmac came to Houston (to play with Yao) right before Orlanod drafted Dwight. Maybe he's kicking himself for leaving but at the time he "didn't want to wait for a young prospect to develop". So it is very interesting how things come full circle. I wonder what Dwight thinks about this since pretty much Tmac left him hanging and didn't really give him a chance to develop. Dwight had to play those tough rookie and early years alone without much veteran or superstar leadership around him. Now they're contenders, and Tmac wants to jump back on the boat.
I actually feel sorry for the guy now......I guess he's trying to do whatever he can to get a decent contract, I assume he's gong to have to sign a one year contract to show he can get "back to where he was"... good luck to him on that.
I thought he wa trying to lure in Lebron and Bosh to New York. Its funny if you think about it how even Mac is abandoning the New York ship.
This has everything to do with his ego. A month ago he's saying he'd love to stay in New York if they land a max player or two, saying somethin like "oo yea with me there also, it'll be greeat blah blah". Now he's had time to realize how horrible the knicks organization is and wants to tag along on the dwight howard gravy train, again sayin "oh yea with me (THE GREAT TMAC) added to the mix, it'll be fun". dude newsflash: You are not that good next he'll criticize the cavs for not giving the mighty tmac a 3 year deal saying "they're not dedicated to keeping lebron"..
He might not even get a contract offer.....or one that is only the Vet minimum. This could be the end of his career. DD
He was 3rd in all-star voting behind Kobe and Nash, despite not playing any games. If he plays 1 month, he can overtake Nash in votes in the West.
That is true, there is no IQ test to vote for the all star game, nor to post on a BBS unfortunately. DD

Give it up. Your boy is the April Fool... and the May Fool... but never the June Fool because his season is already over by then.
