Frankly what I want to see is Yao and T-Mac on the floor at the same time terrorizing the opposition. In the past the Rockets have had real problems getting the offense to flow. T-Mac would dominate the ball and nobody else would shoot, including Yao. Yao would dominate the ball and nobody else would shoot, including T-Mac. And of course everybody else wouldn't break 10 points. Now it seems to me that there's some hope that they can both be on the floor at the same time and be productive and involve their teammates. I keep going back to Charles Barkley talking about how the Rockets were so good in some games that it was scary. That's what we want to see. T-Mac and Yao as Superman and Batman, or Magic and Kareem. A partnership, and a team, that's so good it's scary. That would be the worst nightmare of every other team in the NBA.
The Spurs have the luxury of playing Manu off the bench because they have Duncan AND TP starting and their depth on the wings is amazing. That said Tmac is a starter, its the best way for him to make an impact
um yeah, no The reason he's doing it now is because of his conditioning and he's not a 100% yet. They are easing him into the line up, simple as that
he might have to come off the bench for another 5-6 games b/c he's still clearly not ready to play 36-38 minutes a game. so to fix the starting unit, HAYES MUST BE BENCHED.
