you based that on one game? really huh? tmac injured with role players took the jazz to 6 grueling games. can you at least let the guy get somewhat healthy? as you saw, he got 7 assists last night. if the offense is so stagnant when he's on the court, how did he get those dimes? luck?
That has to be the dumbest comment I have ever read. I would love to read your logic, how is taking a superstar who scors 20 ppg, who is a team player and not a cancer, off of a team that struggled to score in the past going to help us?
this was the same case as last yr. we beat the wolves and knicks without tracy and everybody wanted tracy off the bench, or trade him. then yao gets injured, and a team led by tracy reeled off 13 straight wins. and took a jazz team to 6 games.
He isnt smart enough to think of an logical explonation. he is probaly a love child of wekko and antisonic.
I don't agree with this rock8ts guy. That said. Whoever says something bad about Tmac is a Yao only fan in your eyes? I thought you could make a stronger argument than that. You are weak, girl.
Also, I hate to casually throw around the "only fan" label like you do. But, based on your posts in the past, I have to say you are actually the one who kinda fits the profile of an "only fan".
I just think that tmac needs to develop a rhythm (he is a rhythm shooter). His defense last night did hurt our team a little, but he is just too important to our offensive (even if not 100%) to come off the bench. Tmac still creates good looks for our starters because of the defensive attention that he still receives (even though he is injured and shooting horribly). It is still early in the season, so I will wait until tmac gets into his usual mid-season groove. I just want this team to be healthy come playoff time, because we all know that tmac will put up his usual 27, 7, 6 regardless of his health ( he should at least be close to 100% by then). Combine that with yao's 25-10 and artest's/battier's defense, this team will be almost impossible to beat. I am not too worried about the regular season, especially this early. Yao, tmac, and artest will make sure that the Rockets make the playoffs. I am not sure what would be a better situation for tmac; to get limited minutes (maybe bench?) until the knee heals or to just sit out some to avoid further damage to the knee. Does anyone with knowledge of his knee injury know what would be the best situation for Tmac? How long will it take to knee to heal? Thanks ahead of time for any answers.
I agree. Tmac Hatin' does not mean Yao luvin'. Condemn the haters but don't start labeling other people just because they have a different view than you. That said, I can the logic on why you would wanna bench Tmac for the first few games just to let him recover faster, and at the same time see how the team fares with Tmac's reduced minutes and also test some different rotations. Tmac's benching during the 4th quarter proved that if Yao and Artest is rolling, the team doesn't have to depend on him solely to create offense like in the past.
I say we start T-Mac. I have a pretty cool idea (I hope it's cool anyway). T-Mac should definitely take a backseat role, though still start. We all know he is quite a good playmaker, and I don't particularly like Rafer very much. How about when Battier comes back, we do the folllowing lineup: C Yao PF Scola SF Ron SG Shane PG T-Mac Then we trade Alston for a 7' backup centre (which we need desperately). We'd still have a bench of AB, Brent Barry, Landry, Hayes, and the new centre. I don't see why we should start AB. He is the perfect spark off the bench, and we need a point who can run the offense more than penetrate and score. T-Mac can run the offense well, he will be a good miss-match for any pg, and IF we don't have AB in the game, tmac can still penetrate and score. My only issue with this idea would be that our second unit wouldn't be particularly strong (as opposed to either having battier or tmac off the bench as part of that 2nd unit). To tell you the truth, I haven't watched much of Adelman's games, as living in Australia we don't get much coverage of the NBA like we used to in the 90's/early 2000's. Does Adelman usually play a 2nd unit off the bench? Or does he just sub players in here and there like JVG used to? He seems like the sort of coach that would sub in an entire bench the way the Lakers do now. What do you guys think of this idea? PS: I'm new here, and just wondering if the newbies are restricted and cannot create new threads. I wanted to turn this post into a thread but I couldn't.
