T-Mac is still the most important player on this team. If he doesn't have a good year then the Rockets will be pretenders again.

He's a cripple. And he was ineffective last night.

Last night whenever tmac was out, the motion offense was in effect visibly. when he was on the floor, same old sam old... turn over, forced offense and no chemistry.

And one thing, our offense becomes unpredictable when tmac is not on the court.

Are you saying that just because of last night? They absolutely must have T-Mac in the lineup and performing well if they have any shot at the title. Ron Artest is a great player but he does not have the explosiveness on offense that T-Mac has. Plus you have to figure Yao will be out at least 10-15 games this year.

That's the biggest issue right there. T-Mac needs to cut hard without the ball and he needs to keep the ball moving.

Fair enough. I think T-Mac will win your respect back soon enough.

Wow, you got to be effing kidding me...Two games, and people are already dissing on my boy mac. I expected this kind of garbage from other mindless idiots llike Maverick fans, but from our own people? This is so sad. T-mac really is the most under appreciated player in the league. Anyone with a brain would know he is our MVP, hands down, no questions asked. Instead of dogging on him, why dont people actually appreciate the fact if it wasnt for T-Mac, there would be no playoffs, and and even if there magically was, we would of gotten blown out in 4 games againts the Jazz last year and the year before that. If Yao wasnt so clumsy, T-mac could easily average close to 10 assists a game.

McGrady is the best offensive player on this team. he can create, score, pass and do everythingelse. no point bringing him off the bench. just wait a liottle while till he gets better. feigan said in the preseason that it will take mcgrady 8 to 10 to get into his rhythem. give it time.

jesus people, tmac is still an all-star player, he's just injured right now. maybe he could come off the bench for the first month or so, just to get into shape and to be cautious with the knee, but he will never be a role player, this is his team. r****ded thread imo

I think that if T-Mac should come off the bench, then Rafer should also. After all, T-Mac seems to be more comfortable playing alongside with Rafer than with Aaron.

I think the offense is less predictable with T-Mac out of the game, but that is really up to him to change that. If he could just move without the ball rather than be a ball stopper in the offense, then it would be tougher to defend, as well as being less predictable.

Should the starting lineup look like this?

    PG--Aaron Brooks
    SG--Brent Barry
    C--Yao Ming
    SF--Ron Artest
    PF--Luis Scola
The time that I think you would really want to see T-Mac in the game is if it was a situation when the team is in a catch-up situation late in a game, when making a bunch of threes is what it would take to get it done. Can we all remember T-Mac's 13 points in 33 seconds four years ago, when he did it just by jacking up threes (with one of them resulting in a four-point play) with the Rockets hopelessly beaten by the Spurs?

One last thing, if T-Mac was to get traded, the players the Rockets would need to get in return for him are players who know that motion offense, and can just step in and play it.

At least until he is healed up. He seriouisly hurt the Rockets. How many times on D did he do nothing to stop the ball on a break??

AntiSonic is acting like a baby for whatever reason. The hatred he has for McGrady is so stupid, the perfect example of annoying fans who can't completely support a team without hating a player for no logical reason.
