In other news Yao Ming says he is not going to play for his National Team this summer.. Are we going to bash and knock Yao down because of what he said. Shame on him for not playing for his National Team and being loyal to the Rocket

you all re making a big deal out of nothing. jeez, chill out. we haven't even gotten past the first round and you all are already worrying about a championship. i'll worry about that till we actually get to the finals but until then, i'm not mad at t-mac for saying that. if u ask clyde drexler who would be in the finals, i think he would say LA or Cleveland too.

basically referring to how guys are making a big deal out of nothing. Who cares what T-Mac said and who cares if Yao isn't playing. Lets move on and forget it.

Has there been any reaction by the Rockets players to Tracy McGrady picking the Lakers to win the title? Thanks.

If the players didn't react then obviously they don't care and they understand that its obviously the man's opinion. Guys need to just let it go. Forget about what McGrady said and worry about getting out the 1st round. Lets see if game 1 wasn't a fluke.

This thread has overachieved, it should have never been this big. People are overreacting. And thus, I say over.

Clyde actually gave the politically correct statement you would expect from a former team leader.

this is long before we knew tmac would be out for the year... of course with a healthy tmac the rockets could contend, but without out him we aren't. if anyone were to ask him now, i doubt he would say the rockets have a legit shot.

No, But if Yao said..."hey I think the Fakers will win the championship" while still playing the Portland Trailblazers in the first round of the NBA playoffs...then yes.

Bad example dude...we are Houston Rocket fans not China fans??? It would piss me off more if he played for China in the summer.

I still hope people will not boo TMac when he shows up in the next few home games.

Not for the sake of TMac, but for the team.

Just because he didn't say it the way you wanted him to say it, does that make him wrong? Just because he didn't say "Well, the Lakers are definitely the bigtime favorite but don't sleep on the Rockets." That makes him your #1 target. All people do not think the same way, it doesn't make them idiots. He said what 80-90% of the NBA World is thinking, that the Lakers are going to win.

I am a hugh Rocket fan, I have been one since 76' or 77', the days of Slick Wyatts, Calvin Murphy, Dunleavy, when the Rockets were in the Eastern Conference. I bleed red and gold. I think the Lakers are going to win too, but I still remember 86'. STOP TRIPPING BECAUSE SOMEONE DOESN'T SAY WHAT YOU WANT THEM TO SAY!!!!!

But in your case it just seems to fit. If you where intelligent, one would have something intelligent to say, but since you are an ass*&#&. It just seem to be the right thing to say. ;)

I think it's more of him being honest, in anwsering the questions. But ask yourself this, would you rather someone lie to you or tell you the truth? :D

DADAKOTA PREFER THEY LIE TO HIM!!!!!

Did he not go out eventually after he announced it to Steven A. Smith and after dragging around for the 1st half the season, I think every GM in the league knew he was hurting at that point. I doubt seriously there was any undermining going on. Trust me, if an idiot like you knew he was hurt every GM in the league knew. YOU THINK!!
