This thread only exist for people who don't understand giving the team a low PROBABILITY to win does NOT mean that you do not believe the team CAN win, or you do not ROOT for the team to win.
Or for people who don't understand the difference between a teammate making a prediction as opposed to a sports announcer, fan, homeless guy on the street, etc.
Last time I checked he did not say the Lakers would probably win...he said that they would win. After hearing the audio from the CD show and the reaction from Artest I simply can not defend T-Mac on this one. I honestly think that he wasn't thinking. I guess in his mind his season is over so maybe he didnt feel obligated to consider his teammates. That does NOT in any way excuse his comments. I will however have to protest to the vitriol that some folks are placing in his mind. The malice that some of you guys are putting in him is silly. Not the anger at the comments, but you are assuming there is ill intent and anger at the team that none of you have any way of knowing for sure is or isnt there. Be responsible folks. Villify his actions if you must. He surely deserves it. But don't try to pretend you know what is going on in his head. It just makes you look like you have a vendetta against him and feeds fuel to the fire that some of you are overreacting. It makes some of you look like you can't consider what he said without going all Incredible Hulk. If that makes me the PR department for T-Mac damage control then so be it. Even though I think the guy was a total dumbass for answering the question in that manner.

Cmon man. I appreciate the humor attempt but at least make it relevant. I've said plenty of times that I'm a Rockets fan over a Mac fan. There's a reason I didn't pick a moniker like "TMac1Rox". I don't root for a single player.
