Tracy McGrady will be in Houston next year. One player that might not be in Houston next year: Von Wafer.
Well said. This is the whole crux of the matter. McGrady's past is just skewing everyone's judgment, either to one side or the other. We need to all just agree to disagree, and move on.
Your willingness to be proven wrong rings especially hollow given the fact that such statements would only serve to drive McGrady's Blue Book value even lower.
Your stance on McGrady is well-documented, chief. I think if we tried to have a conversation it wouldn't be very productive. Thanks for the potshot though, I appreciate it. I wasn't getting railed on enough by everyone else - yours really helped convince me that I'm a real menace.
Right now Von Wafer holds more value to the Rockets than Tracy. Believe that. If Wafer leaves it will be because he gets a huge contract somewhere else. Fine. If Tracy is here next year it will be because the Rockets exhausted all posibilities and are stuck with him.
Doubt that, Les and Morey still like him, last I checked they still control this team. Unless, he's injured again, or playing like he did this season (on and off), he's going to be with the club. PLUS, there's nobody who wants him. It'd be stupid just to trade him away now when there's one year left.
Well I doubt he plays anyway. Maybe they ask him to come off the bench and he throws a fit like Iverson. Either way I dont want to see him as a Rocket. Shouldve traded him when we had the chance.
Could be true.. though what chance did we have of trading him? Those rumors that he did that injury thing for that VC trade happened, nothing the team can do about it, the nets didn't want that deal. I wouldn't take someone like Baron Davis on our team (rather have T-Mac not play or come off the bench). Baron Davis is a complete scrub, chucker, and a team killer. I don't even consider him a star anymore, that deal would be worthless. There haven't been any other deals that I've heard of.
He doesn't but if he admitted that he would kill whatever value McGrady has left to other teams. McGrady is a great person, great player and a great team mate. This past season was just a misunderstanding and the Rockets expect to have Tracy back better than ever this season!!!!! - that's how to keep his value
Just because he's not in the lineup, doesn't mean he can say whatever he wants. Would you be ok with him bashing the organization and saying it sucks? What's the difference between those two statements? He's saying something he shouldn't. Would you be ok with Brian Cook saying lakers are gonna win it all. What's the difference between Cook and Tmac. Cook basically doesn't play. And yes it does effect team chem, you can just hear Artest's voice when he heard from Carmichael that Tmac picked the lakers. How would you feel if you were on a team, and your teammate selected a different team to win it all?
I am not assuming anything you are not a real fan and not and educated one for that matter to think that the Rockets don't have a chance at the rings. So you started being a fan cus they were winning rings, I am around the same age and was a fan before they were winning anything. move along bandwagoner
I love T-Mac and wish him the best, but... After Game 4 Against Utah Last Year I hit the ball off the glass, and Carl just mistimed it" http://blogs.chron.com/sportsjustice/archives/2008/04/mcgrady_calls_o.html When Asked What Separated Him From Champions of His Era "I haven't been the guy who's been fortunate enough to play with Shaq, to play with Tim Duncan. I always seem to have average teams." http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/ian_thomsen/02/27/weekly.countdown/index.html Adelman Should Have Called Timeout "Okur came over and got the rebound," McGrady said. "It was a big rebound we didn't get. That was the point where Dikembe (Mutombo) and those guys should have been in the game, because we would have called a timeout had we gotten the rebound." http://blogs.chron.com/sportsjustice/archives/2008/04/mcgrady_calls_o.html oh, and let's not forget him picking the Lakers to win it all. Support your team, man!
When did I say I don't think the Rockets have a chance? I merely said I think the Lakers will win the West, but I didn't say the Rockets don't have a chance. Again, you're assuming things. I love how when someone disagrees with you, they're a "bandwagoner". That's real effective way of proving your point, I swear.
MORE shamrock for you, see, people think this is an isolated issue, it is not.... Let's not forget Mr. Tmac going to Steve A Smith and announcing he was out, and hurting the Rockets at the trade deadline...by undermining ANY position they had. DD
Sounds like you are the one ASSumming things in this thread. You just made an ass out of yourself. I wouldn't be surprised if you were actually Grady at all.
