Yeah doing it behond someones back makes it just fine. I now understand why you want people to lie and hide their true feelings.

I understand the difference, but I still think it's unfair. Like in my example, it would be unfair to say that Rockets fan is not a true Rockets fan just because he thinks the Lakers will win it all (hell, I think the Lakers will win it all). I also think it's unfair to call McGrady a "quitter and a traitor" for the same reason.

Tracy's off the team for now. The team doesn't really give a crap about what he says, so why do fans? Let it go.

Everyone should agree that even though what he said is his honest opinion he should have not said i knowing that people make a big deal out of his words anyway.

This man definitely needs a PR or if he already has one he needs a better one.

I beg to differ. TMac is NOT a fan, he is part of the team ( 20M BIG part of the team).

It's like you could comment on whether or not a movie star is gaining some weight, but you should never say that to your wife! (At least not in the 'matter of fact' kind of way.)

Whoops. I had "most ridiculous" and only replaced one of the two words. It happens.

Going to be awkward for him to be sitting on the bench today when his teammates know he picked the Lakers to beat them if they make it to the second round.

We are talking about Tmac in this thread, that is what it is about, he is free to speak his mind and we are free to speak ours.

    What was your point again?

Except his team is not emotionally unstable like most wives seem to be. Do you really think Tracy McGrady saying the Lakers will win it all hurts his team's feelings? Do you really think it will bother them?

If not, why should it bother you?

Are you kidding me? Speaking his mind? Yeah, he just had to get that off his chest...it was killing him.

T-Mac is still a Rocket just like Battier, Yao, Artest, etc. It would not be acceptable for them to predict the Lakers to win it all, and therefore it's not acceptable for McGrady.

Honestly, if the Rockets were to somehow miraculously win the championship, how awkward would it be when they present T-Mac with a ring?

McGrady is a very bright if albeit underformaleducated man. That is the enigma. Wrapped in a puzzle.

The man is charming and talented. Articulate, and wears his emotions on his sleeves. He is 13 in 38. That's points in seconds as well as 3's jacked in minutes with 15 or more tics on the 24.

Yes, this man is an enigma. Contract year value? Best, IMHO, as a trade chip. Give me a cap strangling Brand and SnT'd Dre for him and Philly born and bred Lowry. If they insist I even offer Landry. That is the puzzle - the enigmatic TMac's value to others in the Association.

Synergistically, this team rocks without him. But is talent-shy v many/most teams.

Tracy Stacy McGrady TMac, enigmatically charming. Snakishly puzzling.

Does anyone really believe any member of the Rox squad and/or coaches gives a hoot about anything he says today? Now, after the season is completed (with a major Parade ere 4th of July) it will doubtlessly be different. Then.

No, McGrady is not stupid. Definitely not stupid.

I don't think what he said really bothers any of us. It is just disrespectful to his team, the organization, and all the Houston fans. T-mac is a very vindictive person, which can be seen in how he declared himself injured the day before the trade deadline.

the recent picture of tmac does not seem to support what he was saying that he is working hard for recovery.

I don't think it will bother the team because they're not as fragile and devoid of heart as Tracy.

If this doesn't make you angry as a fan, then I guess nothing does.

Yes, I believe the Rockets have a chance against the Lakers. Even if I didn't think they had a chance in hell, what does that matter?

What makes me angry as a fan is stupid decisions that leads us to lose games.

What a star player says to some guy on the radio in his spare time while he recovers from surgery is of absolutely no concern to me. I could care less.

Thats the point. I dont understand a die hard Rocket fan not being bothered by this.

"Its no big deal, he just thinks the Lakers are better"

    Give me a freaking break.

    old story.

if your baby is being baptized and all the families and friends are saying he's gonna have a bright future. someone comes up and says he's gonna eventually die.

what do you think? complete honesty, eh? or maybe that someone didn't go to college?
