If you had been here from the beginning, you would see that Mcgrady is a very special case.

It won't change the fact of the matter.

At the end of the day, I prefer McGrady to leave, it'd be better for him, for the rockets and for everyone on this board.

I've never seen so much bad things directed towards a single player and I think his trip in houston was not a failure.

I really hope Adelman puts his foot down and doesn't let T-mac sit on the bench with the other players during the playoffs. It would have been nice if he was actually pulling for our team and sit there cheering right along with Deke and the bench players it would have been a mature gesture on T-mac's part. But no he can't do what Yao did last year and just sit there and pull for our team. He has to open his mouth and pick the team that is the golden child of the NBA and not even mention his Rockets that pay for his lazy ass to have the luxury of sitting on his ass making millions.

outside of ron, who's in his own world, i have not heard one single rocket player said our goal is to win a championship this year publicly. hell, he thinks he's the best player in the NBA.

look man, some are homers, but a lot of players are freakin' realistic.

but just b/c you say those things don't mean you think about those things when you step foot on the court and play ball.

Do you think the team wants him on the bench after him rooting for the Lakers?
    I dont.

If Rafer was still on the team he would break Tracy's jaw.

I wonder if he would've said the same thing if he was still playing - not because it would be an acceptance of defeat before the battle even starts, but, clearly, from the manner he appraises the Rockets, he just doesn't believe this team can beat the Lakers without him.

Not going through the whole thread, but what this says to me is that he sees himself as separate from the Houston Rockets. Which is fine...

Ive never seen a player tell the media he's shutting it down for the season before discussing it with a team.

Ive never seen a player come into a season needing surgery he had all offseason to take care of.

Ive never seen a player pick a rival team to win when his team is currently making a run in the playoffs.

Alot of firsts when talking about Tracy.

Wow I promised myself I wouldn't say anymore... I don't know why I clicked here again... maybe it was to read this post?

What part of that says he's rooting for the Lakers? I am baffled. You guys are reading entire paragraphs that aren't there.

Rafer wouldn't break Tracy's jaw b/c he probably knows him better than we THINK we do, and doesn't jump to such insane assumptions.

Would be funny if someone on the team would comment on what T-mac said with something like - Well I'm glad he chose the Lakers to win it all, the last game he played for us I chose the rim to reject his sorry ass.
