LOL at you trying to define class after taking personal shots earlier and then bragging about it.......I mean honestly. And, I was speaking the truth, what happened to your "Freedom of speech" stance? Or does that only apply to Tmac as he tosses his teamates under the bus...again..and again...and again.... I don't wish Tmac injury or harm, I want him healthy, but the reality is the reality, he may never be the same again. The odds are stacked against him. That is not wishing one way or the other, it is merely the truth. Since we already have a center who has trouble staying healthy, we need to trade TMac and get a couple of good players who can compliment Yao and stay healthy. DD
why the hell would anyone think that Tmac will pay the dues necessary to get himself back into playing shape? His track record clearly shows that he won't be back early, or on time. I'll be shocked if he's ready by the all star break. Thinking that Tmac will put in the work is just pure wishful thinking. Maybe it will happen. Maybe not. But if you think it will happen, you're just hoping. there's no track record to support that belief.
Your right, you do have the right to say that, so go ahead and say it. My bad about that, just seemed kinda low (to wish somebody bad health), if you had meant it that way. Since you say you didn't, I believe you. You are right, this is a potentially career-threatening injury. We shall see. My opinion, nobody will take the risk on his injury and contract, so why trade him for less value, when we give him a shot, see what he can do, and if it doesn't work out, we use that 23 mil on free agents in 2010.
Contract year maybe? Dudes gota keep up the lifestyle that he is living and he wants to get paid. By the sounds of it he is puttin in the work. Regardless of him being a Rocket or not next year he is going to want to get paid and has to show he has some worth.
Thank you, but I think you meant You're. I think there are some cash strapped teams that Morey can take advantage of, if not in the offseason then by the trading deadline. I trust Morey to do what is right, if he thinks it is best to keep Tmac, then I will be ok with that.....grudgingly. However, I think he is gone. I believe the team can see how the fans feel, and how the team plays when everyone is out there playing hard, I doubt Tmac gets the chance to play in Houston ever again...at least not as a Rocket's player. DD
I wasn't trying to hurt your feelings or anything man, I was just criticizing your posts. You did sound like an ignorant fool, so I said it. If I wished injury to you or something, that would be crossing the line. The way you talked about Tmac's health just came off as wishing bad health upon him. Obviously that was a misunderstanding and thats that. Believe me, I'm not the only one who thinks this way about your views on Tmac...if it hurts your feelings, I'll stop criticizing your posts, and we can all be one big happy community who never disagrees on anything...cuz obviously your always right, right?? Your opinion of TMac>>>anybody else's facts and opinions of Tmac. Even the NBA's players, coaches, and GM's.
LOL - for all the facts you picked to make your case, you left out a lot of failure. But whatever, we disagree, you are certainly entitled to your opinion, and I am not alone in mine either. I would refrain from name calling though, it is not very classy. We have had lots of polls about what to do with TMac, and for the most part they have fallen on trading him in the offseason. It will be interesting to do one now that everything has calmed down, and emotions are set aside and people think about what would be best for the franchise. The summer polls are usually more about true feelings than the ones in the heat of the moment. I did one about trading Tmac for Manu 2 years ago, and while most wanted to keep Tmac, it was not as lopsides as I expected, probably now, it would be more towards the Manu side.... See, everyone eventually comes around.....jk... Everyone has their own opinion.......no biggie. DD
I spent wayy too much time procrastinating on studying for my final, by being involved in a very nice debate today, lol. If I said anything to offend anybody, sorry, prolly cuz I didn't get much sleep this week. DD, sorry if I came off as a jerk, but you certainly can debate all day... it was fun. Hope to do this again sometime. Now I gotta study...peace.
One of the better debates this year. I for one am keeping my Tmac Jersey and if he is still a Rocket will cheer him on. I like the guy and I agree with the Black Knight. If I have to hold a sign that says keep Tmac I will too. I am definitely glad to have this guy on our team and I definitely think if this team can remain intact, add a back up center, a healthy tmac will make a difference. This year our team did more than just replace tmac with artest for yao but we got rid of guys like raefer and head who have been big parts of the jvg era rotation. We also have a very improved Scola and second year landry. Von Wafer is also a decent back up. The man did the best he could and I think he was in more pain than anyone could ever know unless we were him. Until this year, besides Yao and Tmac, the Houston Rockets have had some pretty darn scrappy role players. Bonzi Wells Stromwile Swift Juwon Howard David Wesley mike james luther head... for gosh sakes the list just continues. Heck I'd definitely like to see the Rockets lineup that went against Dallas or Utah years ago without Tmac and Yao face against this current Lakers team. I hope the man gets well soon and I definitely hope to see him in a Rockets Uniform playing along side with Yao next season. At the end though it is up to Morey and I trust he will make the right decisions. It's the Rockets first at the end of it all.
QFT. however, the way tracy handled the situation was VERY unprofessional and fans only see that. and therefore, he got the criticism he did. what i don't like about most people that criticize tracy is that they say he was the same way (behavior-wise) previous years, which is absurd. he's been a great player and teammate every year outside of this year. and the injury really was the primary cause of all his frustration, and thus his poor professionalism. hopefully he'll learn from this. get stronger and better from the injury and come back to the player we love. i mean just last year, the TC showered him with MVP chants and saying how he poured his heart out in game 6 v. utah. as long as he's relatively healthy, he will ALWAYS helps this team. PS - an injured player never helps any team, regardless of how good that player is.
We were down by 18 with 4 minutes to in the 2nd qtar and Tmac had to bring us back single-handedly to within 4 points by halftime, by scoring 28 points in the first half. Didn't help that Rafer left the game in the last minute of the 2nd qtr with an ankle injury. I don't know how quickly people forget that. After Reefer left T-Mac just Took over that game and gave us a chance to win. Unfortunatelly. No one else wanted to step up
What we saw looked unprofessional. Only a few people, including T-Mac, know what happened behind closed doors.
And no one could hit wide-open jumpers created by the double teams swarming on the only scoring Rocket on the floor, but that's probably T-Mac's fault too.
Im sorry but this was funny. You couldn't be serious when you typed this. You must be blind if you think the reason we made it to the 2nd round was because McGrady was out. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't we add new players to the team. Isn't this team deeper than last years team?? Didn't the Rockets play a different team compared to the one they played the last 2 years?? Wasn't the match-ups in our favor this year?? come on man you gotta stop this. Also how do you know for a fact who is or who isn't going to be in a Rockets uniform. Are you DM yourself to be telling guys that. Come on man let it go. Enough is enough.
Hey DD, you succeeded in making yourself look like a pure Tmac hater First, you compare Corey Maggette to Tmac. Fail You say we made it to the 2nd round because Tmac was out, even though we had a MUCH improved team and a MUCH more favorable matchup. Fail You say he doesn't work hard, when you have no actual proof. On top of that, he's a 2-time scoring champion, 7-time all star, and has been voted in the top 10 in MVP voting 6 times (3 times as a Rocket). Thats all god given talent right? I mean, it doesn't take any practice to go from 7 ppg to 32 ppg in the NBA right? It doesn't take hard work to lead a team of scrubs to 50 win seasons right? Fail. You say he doesn't show up in the playoffs and can't lead and doesn't lead, even though he has the 4th highest scoring average in playoff history and his assists and rebounds go up every year in the playoffs. Fail. He's never made it out of the first round because he's selfish right...even though I gave you stats to prove that outside of Yao and Scola, his teammates don't always show up. Fail. He doesn't play team ball right? Although he averages more assists than Kobe, Pierce, Roy, Johnson, and Melo. He's a ball stopper right, because any star player is a ball stopper by your logic. They are given the ball for a reason...they can score and make plays! fail. Just admit that you hate the guy...its pretty obvious. You and John Lopez of 790 are the most ignorant Tmac haters I've ever seen/heard. Anytime somebody goes on his show and attempts to talk positive about Tmac, he just hangs up the phone on them. Anytime me or another person on Clutchfans tries to debate about Tmac, you always bring personal issues you have with him. "He said this and that, and it hurt my feelings as a Rockets fan." Clearly, you can't win this argument...everybody here knows it too! Every GM,coach, and NBA player would agree with me too! You have nothing going for you on this topic!
technically he kind of did make it out the 1st round. He is on the team. Sitting on the bench supporting his team.
