many specialists look down on acupuncture. It also means no revenue as someone said (yeah, doctors have bills to pay too)
yeah my dad did a course on acupuncture and he says it will bring him no money so he doesnt do it. ANYWAYS is there any way we can contact tmac and tell him this? because i think our meaningful discussions on this board would greatly help the rox. the organization should make clutchfans their source for info.
Hey guys, stop being stupid with the revenue talk. The organization realizes that fixing Tracy's back comes before getting some doctor paid and so does TMac, and I guarantee someone within the organization has suggested it to him by now. Acupuncture is not new, guys. I mean, if we as fans spend time finding ways to fix his back, don't you think the people whose careers literally depend on his health would be doing the same thing? Dennis Lindsey: "Hey Tracy I really think you should try acupuncture. It's done wonders for other athletes." Tracy McGrady: "Nah, I can't do that. How will real doctors ever make a decent living that way? The thought of them not being able to buy that custom Lamborghini at the end of the year...it just breaks my heart. That's not worth saving my career over. No acupuncture for me, man...never." Yeah, I don't think so.
Acupuncture definitely is the solver, and never back again. The key is to find a good acupuncturist. And simultaneously taking Chinese herbs is better. witch not needed.
Yes, does make sense. actually, I just got recoverd from my waist nerve injury, after seeing a Chinese Doctor for 3 time. he uses massage, seems simple, but it does work.
why don't you STFU.. so what do you think? the doctors don't know enough about accupuncture or they are 100% that its not going to work?
Accupunture definitely will help and ease the back pain but the problem is, it wont solve and cure the root of the problem, t-mac bad structured back once and for all. That is to say, after accupuntured, tmac will be pain free and able to play but he will go down with back spasm anytime agai. This is what really sucks!
No. Acupuncture can cure the pain and bad structure both and forever. It depends on the experiences of the doctor.
i would highly reccommend accupuncture to anyone... in fact the dude i see is in Houston in early 07, to teach at some large clinic......
I think maybe it's the bad habit of play make his back easy to hurt. I had a back problem last week,so I had a research about this. I find when t-mac play, his back bend too much and he like to use his back very much, that will make his back easy to be tired and fragile.
I think many Western Doctors would never recommend Acupuncture, some would but some will never do it. My family doctor never recommended alternative medicine to us once even though we tried it on the recommendation of one and it worked. Maybe T-mac is stuck with a bunch that aren`t believers
Partly true. It's true the stuff he does on the court is probably taking a heavy toll on his back. And it's no coincidence that his spasms flared up after he started being really aggressive and attacking the rim again. But the root of the problem is still that he has a structurally bad back. The only thing that might cure it once and for all is surgery, which is tricky in itself, never mind the fact that he most probably wouldn't be able to play basketball or any other intensive sport again due to all the stress it might put on the surgically repaired back.
I don't think it's about revenue. It's about professional pride. Many western doctors look on acupuncture or other eastern medicine as somewhat close to primative voodoo stuff. I'd say no way a professional trainer or doctor would recommend it. It would only happen if T-Mac personally believe it enough to try.
Bump. Is this next treatment TMac going to try? At least the thousand year Chinese history has proven it is not fake...
