If we don't make the playoffs... we better freakin be a spoiler for as many teams as possible. This is my only consolation for this crappy season... and wasting all that money on League Pass.

To all you Season-Over-Let's-Tank-And-Kiss-The-Playoffs-Goodbye Jokers who've chimed in so far, I thank God dearly that you don't don the Red and White for our Houston Rockets professionally.

I believe the Rockets still have as good an opportunity as anyone to get into the playoffs if they just continue striving to play well ... and better every game. They've been showing this in recent games with and without T-Mac. They're showing passion, effort and enthusiasm. Yao is as dominant as any player in the league right now if not moreso. The Rockets are still getting better, guys. Have a little faith, and radiate some positive and supportive vibes for our squad.

The mission is quite simple really. If they keep winning, they'll get in. And if they get into playoffs, there will surely be hell to pay especially if a truly healthy Tracy returns.

Now's not the time to be all "woe is me." Now's the time to step up the intensity. Now's the time to shake it off and believe that if the Rockets continue to bring it every night, good things are still in store for us.

    Let's Go Rockets!

I think we can get 15-5 and closes out 44-38 to make the playoff if Yao continues his level of play. One good thing about our schedule is that the last two games of the season are most likely meaningless games for our opponents, so we have one game to slip before that.

Man, am I glad I made a deadline deal for TMac in my fantasy league last week.

OTOH its looking like we might finally be seeing the coming out of the monster Yao.

Good point. Just because things are going bad, that does not mean that the Rockets need to represent themselves as losers. WTF does "tanking" even mean  . The word tanking should not even be part of Rockets Basketball Vocabulary!

What is the point if the team does not compete. I say give em all hell!

I havent heard any fat ladies singing yet. :)

It is a bad news. But the season is not over yet. I hope Rockets can push hard and play every game as their last one. Anything can happen until it is impossible mathmatically. Just watched the game of Lakers vs. Spurs. TD is definitely not at full power (maybe 60% at most). We still got some chance. Hey, Rockets, accept the challeage and do your best. The best thing can happen is that our guards now feel released since there is no pressure to them for losing games. They may play at a higher level than themselves. It is time to show some mental toughness.

    I still believe...

If anything i want to get Yao to prove he can do a major thing for this team and lead them. I'll look at that as a silver lining to some bad news. If Yao can prove to us and himself that he can take the team on his shoulders like we all wanted him to then im okay with it.

Yes i would have loved to have T-mac in there but since he is not going to be, i want Yao to continue stepping up and realizing there is no one that can really stop him.

This is the moment when players are really defined. This, like we all know ,will tell us the true character of this team if they have the edge and mean streak to want it more than their opponent and to show poise and discipline at the end of games. I think Yao can truly make his point as one of the dominant big man in the present, if he ain't already, as well as for the future. Honestly, i am excited to see how this team will go on. Just to point out, this situation really reminds of the Raptors in 02' when they lost Carter at the end of the season. Everyone wrote them off since they already lost 10 something games in a row but the Raptors regrouped with A. Davis leading the crew to 13 game winning streak and the 7 seed playoff. Those remainder games will telll us more about these rockets. :)

What bothers me about T-Mac is how fragile his back is. The last time he goes up for a jump shot and throws out his back. This time he falls during contact from a foul and not a hard foul mind you and is out for 5 weeks. He is a great player when healthy but how is next year going to be any different if something more permanent like surgery isn't done. Maybe wearing a back brace woukd help?

Exactly. As far as I'm concerned the Rockets are 6-13 without McGrady, the real McGrady. And, really, you can take away some of those losses because we didn't have the real Yao either.
