It really comes down to whether or not T-Mac would make a difference if he were there. I think it would, if only as a vote of confidence or gesture of allegiance. But most have speculated that McGrady isn't a true team leader in a mental sense. If this is the case, why do we even want him to be there offering the team no physical leadership as per his injury, and no mental leadership as per the norm? If we say "McGrady's not a leader" like it's a known fact, why would we expect him to be traveling injured?
we have to stand it whether we like it or not. No one could persuade to come to Memphis except himself. He is still the one who is holding a privilege in this team. Is he going to XXX camp during this time???
Relax man, I'm talking to the general audience here who are being hyper-critical of t-mac for no legitimate reason. Calling him fragile is fine because he does get injured a lot. Blaming his play on our record...well maybe he should shoulder some of the blame. But anything else is pure speculation and isn't fair. Faking injuries? Lack of commitment? Low thresold for pain? Man oh man. Just incredible to see what people come up with. How does anyone know this? Just conjecture. There's no evidence to actually support any of this. Nothing from the doctors, the players, the coaches - nothing but that he is a competitor who wants to win a ring. I'm just amazed at what's going on here.
dude....you not only admit to having a myspace page (that's kinda 2006, don't ya think?), but you named it after McGrady !!!!!!! YIKES !
Sigh. There must be a good reason behind this. As myself, I m not trashing him. is that wrong for us to point out what shortcomings he has? As a leader of the team, did he ever communicate with his teammates after piles of losses and encourage his teammates? Or maybe we just leave him alone? which is better? I do believe in duo. T-mac is a great scorer and Yao is a great player. Anyway, I m still optimist with the Rox. May The Rox Surprises Me!!!
I'm just saying it gets old, not that it's not warranted. Someone starts a TMac thread, everybody piles in with sometimes the SAME comment they made in another thread...rinse and repeat... Blah Blah blah...
Yeah, you are right. I reckon part of the reason behind this is because that we do not have any Rox game to watch for the past five days?

are they not warranted? furthermore, what do you expect a tmac thread to have, nowadays? there is nothing else to talk about (tmac issues-wise) tmac is not playing good tmac is not playing at all tmac had no reason to not go to memphis tmac has no heart because the above is undeniable- what on earth would you expect a tmac thread to have?
injured players do go to their teams games...i can make a list of players that show up to games in suits, home and road, thats why the nba instilled the dress code for players not playing. Tracy doesnt even show up for home games if hes not playing....its been like this ever since he got here. What happened to supporting the team from the bench? That does make a difference, believe it or not. Thats what a leader does. Also just because we dont hear teammates complain that tmac doesnt have dedication or is a team player doesnt mean it doesnt happen behind closed doors.
We know four things about McGrady: He is fragile - I'll give you that His threshold for pain is equivalent to a 10 year old girl - Pure Speculation. Have you ever felt the pain of his injuries? He exaggerates injuries to the media - Show me where. He likes to take credit for wins and let his teammates take blame for losses. HAHAHA SERIOUSLY? Please show me proof, and don't come in here w/ some weak quote from the end of a game that you are purely speculating on, b/c I can show you alot of NBA players that will have very similar quotes.
I would expect a little bit more faith in our team. I know we have not been playing like we deserve faith (especially TMAC) but fans are suppose to have faith in their team/superstar blindly. At least a little bit of faith. The funny thing is I KNOW this team will turn it around and start playing some great basketball soon, but the FANS of Houston just don't deserve for the Rockets to start playing good AT ALL this season b/c we the fans are just pathetic. We have shown our true colors and don't deserve a great team b/c we are whiny, unappreciative bit*hes. I mean in another thread I was reading about how loud the Sacramento Kings crowd/fans are and they have NO HOPES whatsoever of advancing deep in the playoffs, yet they support their team like true fans. (I am finally starting to understand whats mav's fans and jazz fans talk about when they bash on rockets fans)
i dont think you can justify any of your statements their, can you? i dont wanna sound like im sucking up to T-mac, but when you play 10 seasons in the NBA, most of which were attacking, you would be fragile too.. plus u have no idea what kind of pain he was going through, unless you play the amount of seasons and gametime he has played and then get his injuries, then you can tell me his pain threshold.. thirdly, i dont know where u got the idea he exagerrates injuries to the media, unless your talking about when he recently said he would be out for a week? Sounds like your just feeding off everyone else on these t-mac hating threads and thinking its way less serious and he duznt need a week...would u rather him out for months or days? lastly, i dont know where you got the idea he takes credit for wins and dumps L's on his teammates....he completely took the blame for the playoffs loss, he ended crying coz he felt guilty... when u tell me an occasion where he has definitely taken credit for a W and dumped the L on his team, ill half shut my mouth
