We were "haters" until last night. then, finally, everyone elses reality caught up. so now we're "realists" i guess.

whatever the label, the message is the same.

I think it wasn't because of his knee, but because of his head. Two guys were running after him on that break.

As Bullard said, Tracy just tought too much about it. He was worried because he didn't know how to finish.

Just go hard, try to dunk it hard and don't reverse it. If you dont make it you are still gonna get 2 fts.

I think Tmac is done within a year. he's like SF injured and won't be back.

    Ouch.

You know, even that dunk over Tyrus Thomas, as nice as it was, wasn't all that impressive from a leaping standpoint. He wasn't very high above the rim on that one. He has lost a TON of athletic ability. I'm only 5'10" and I can damn near get as high as he did last night.

Serious, I dont see why people are mad at Ron & wafer for laughing....every nba bench laughs when a player from their team gets hung

Especially since the score was only 2-0 in the first minute or two of the game. They had no idea it was going to be such a terrible night. If it had happened in the 3rd or 4th quarter, then it would have been an issue to me, but I think it's overblown as is.

The worst part of all this was the bench reaction from his own team. It's one thing to have a busted play like this (everyone does them at times), it's clearly a bigger problem to have a few guys on the bench thinking it was something to laugh at.

This video may have captured the essence of what is wrong with the Rockets. The strange thing is, it has nothing to do with the busted dunk attempt. Think about it guys.

Ron "Mr I see the camera on me, I need to throw my arm around a younger player's shoulders and start talking so it looks like I'm mentoring" Artest has no clue and is a chump. I lost any last ounce of respect I was trying to generate for this guy after seeing his reaction to this play.

Adelman has no control. There is no leadership on the team. You think someone like Kevin Garnett would allow his bench players to laugh at Pierce or Allen if they were trying to come back from a serious injury and busted a play? How about Kobe? Look at the Bynum situation. Kobe was visibly very upset at the injury that took place. If anyone on the Laker bench had laughed at the pile-up on the floor, Kobe would have ripped them a new one.

I personally think McGrady laughed it off because he had no other logical choice of action. I bet it hurt him more that his teammates were so visibly entertained at his expense than the embarrassment of a blown play.

This is a sad situation guys, but the play is irrelevant. The Rockets are haded to the lottery unless something is done. I seriously don't think Adelman is capable of leading this group. Stuff like this confirms it.

The Tyrus dunk was off of his right knee, which makes it a useless gauge of how his left knee is feeling. Stop pointing to that dunk over Tyrus as proof that "he can still dunk, but he just didn't care." Stop wondering why "he dunked over Tyrus, so why did he suck so bad here?" Left knee vs. right knee, people. He's been driving left all season pretty well (relatively speaking), since as you people should know if you play or even watch basketball that you take off of your right leg (his good leg) to finish drives to your left. He got owned here because he tried to take off of his left leg. I don't doubt that he was well aware of which leg he was gonna take off of. He was probably "feeling good" so he decided to test the left knee, take it out for a spin so to speak. Unfortunately he found out when we all did that his mind wrote a check that his LEFT KNEE still can't cash.

    Left vs. Right, people.

Looks like he lost focus when he looked back and seen the Bucks defender behind him. He probably thought the guy was going to try and block it and he tried to change up at the last minute.

No, I think it's because he initially timed it to jump off his left leg, but in the last second he decided to jump off his stronger right leg. In taking the extra step, he got caught under the basket and didn't have enough lift to reverse it.

Edit: Nevermind .. I didn't realize he actually went off his left leg. He should have just layed it up off his right leg instead of taking that step.

Whatever the case was it went down hill after the missed dunk. When he stole the ball I was thinking okay they came to play tonight.

    Then the missed dunk.

    And then we never recovered.

I've been thinking for a while now that T-Mac just sucks the life right out of this team. The Rockets didn't have problems with energy/intensity when he was out.

He gets back and the Rockets kind of half-ass it around on the court. That's what you get when T-Mac's healthy. Then he misses his dunk and gives up and the Rockets totally collapse. That's what you get when T-Mac's injured.

If the Rockets don't move him the rest of the season is going to be just as painful as last night's game, and they probably won't be able to move him.

If Yao is on the floor, there are energy problems.

Since when? The Rockets won 5 out of 6 with no T-Mac and took care of business. T-Mac gets back and they choke, they come out and they play flat, they get blown out of the water by last place teams.

The guy's a loser, he's been one for his entire career. Realistically the Rockets won't be able to move him but I'm hoping that he just retires.

whichever leg he jumped off to dunk on thomas, he should've jumped off that leg to dump the ball - IN A FAST BREAK.

and we're paying over 20 mils a year for someone who has a bummed knee, we're really doomed, aren't we?
